Greg Berlanti Talks Green Lantern 2, Clash of the Titans 2 And No Ordinary Family!

The producer talks about what it's been like to start work on the sequel before the first movie is even released and also discusses the sequel to Clash of the Titans and the future of TV show, No Ordinary Family...

In an interview with Collider Greg Berlanti talks about whether they have a long term plan for No Ordinary Family, what he thinks worked in the first Clash of the Titans and how that'll affect the sequel and talks more about working on Green Lantern 2 before we've seen the first one! I've done a quick transcription of what he said about the latter but be sure to watch the video to hear what else he had to say!

Greg Berlanti on NO ORDINARY FAMILY, CLASH OF THE TITANS 2 and GREEN LANTERN 2 from ColliderVideos on Vimeo.

What's it like crafting the future without having an audience to see what worked and what didnt work?

"I think that will obviously inform the work we do going ahead whenever they start testing it and things like that, but we saw enough of the dailies and saw enough of what we thought worked great to think, 'Gosh, that's great'.

We had thought long term from the start anyway and had already pitched out in our heads what the stories needed to be and Martin and Donald did such an amazing job casting it anyway."

"It's most of what we wanted to achieve and then it was more like, 'Wow, what are all the fun ways we can take something we didnt think of because of how great everyone is?'"

There isnt even a Trailer for Green Lantern 1 and these yahoos are already talking about a sequel.

The studios should have ordered a DNR (Do Not Recesitate) on Clash of the Titans.

I want to see No Ordinary Family just out of curiosity ...
I hope its a good series.

No "Crap of the Titans" sequel. I can only take so much of Sam Worthington saying he want's to do things as a man (?)

@Hellmont

It's actually a pretty good show. A bit lighthearted, but hey, that comes with being on ABC.

A Gleen Lantern sequel is practically a given, same for THOR!

Hollywood always talks about sequels before they even get the first one out! : P

CLASH was okay, but don't really need a sequel, but cool if they do!

Oh yeah... check out a SUPERMAN CASTING, no its not for the new movie lol!

Click click = KENT & LANE TV CASTING!

I thought Clash was okay (certainly had it's flaws though) but works best as a stand alone I think. Some films are just like that.

Green Lantern on the other hand, being from a long running serialised comic, is a bit of a no-brainier sequel wise. As long as it doesn't completely bomb of course, that's what reboots are for.

And finally; No Ordinary Family. I'm not sure to be honest. But my interest has been peeked enough to definitely try to check it out. Often a bit more difficult way down here in New Zealand though - some programs don't even make it this far before they are already cancelled a season or tow (or more) in!
