Ryan Gosling Rumored for Green Lantern

According to mysterious sources at WB, Ryan Gosling of "The Notebook" fame is who they want to play Hal Jordan a.k.a Green Lantern...

Earlier rumors included David "Angel" Boreanaz, Seth "Robot Chicken" Green, and Justin "Mac guy" Long. None of which (except maybe Boreanaz) seemed like a good fit for protector of sector 2814.

The Ryan Gosling rumor has come from Latino Review, who has a good track record of being right with past rumors. Apparently they have an unnamed tipster working at Warner Bros who has slipped them the information. Time will only tell if Gosling is actually offered the part, and then he'll still have to accept the role--all of which makes for too many variables to be sure.

The script has reportedly been turned in, met with approval, and given a 2009 start date.

Gosling would be great! He's a solid actor and would bring in female moviegoers!

I agree that I see him more as a Wally. Gosling is an amazing actor and I think that him portraying Hal would be great.

Cool. Honestly Seth Green and Justin Long, WTF. Really get with the program people. Justin Long is a good actor but not Green Lantern good. Boreanaz seemed to be a good choice. What really matters is how good or how bad the script is. We don't want another 'Superman Returns', 'Spiderman 3', or 'Xmen 3'.

I don't see it. I still see Young Hercules. Osar Nominated actor. Bad choice, that only bring bad the problem Daredevil movie had, no leading actor for movie 2.
