He looks too small for the role imo. But then again they cast Miller as the Flash too.
Reasonnnn - 1/24/2015, 11:05 PM
Lets not Tyrese.

DeusExSponge - 1/24/2015, 11:06 PM
So he's lobbying for himself? Hmmm, well we're a few years away from the Green Lantern reboot and we're not even sure if we'll get Green Lantern in Justice League. Wonder which Green Lantern is going to appear in the DCCU.
Tars - 1/24/2015, 11:06 PM
Bring it on

yonny616 - 1/24/2015, 11:09 PM
I wouldn't mind him getting the role.
WayneCEO1 - 1/24/2015, 11:09 PM
Campaigning rarely works, but good luck to him. Think he should at least get an audition.
JamesMann - 1/24/2015, 11:13 PM
I'd be fine with him being John Stewart if the Green Lantern reboot uses him as a supporting character along with Kilowag and Tomar, and has Hal Jordan be the main character.

I mean, 9 years isn't exactly that short of a time to reintroduce a character when
Batman was rebooted in 8 years and now 4 years
Spider-Man was rebooted in 5 years
Hulk was rebooted in 5 years
Superman was rebooted in 7 years
Fantastic Four was rebooted in 8 years

It's really not that hard for them to use Hal again as the focus. Just do it right this time.
DarkModeDan - 1/24/2015, 11:18 PM
Okay, I really, really do like his enthusiasm.

But...

I question his ability to hold a franchise, just based on his...Transformers...experience.

Sorry Tyrese, but I think I might want Idris to take this one after all.

batmanvsuperman - 1/24/2015, 11:18 PM
I [frick] with ty but I don't see him as gl hey he mite be the perfect guy for the role but I really do think they will us John Stewart or Hal that's the only ones they will us trust me
batmanvsuperman - 1/24/2015, 11:20 PM
Who cares how long its been before a reboot just make it good
DrKinsolving - 1/25/2015, 4:54 AM
Pass, NO. Please, NO
Dmon - 1/25/2015, 9:22 AM
John Stewart sucks
PAF - 1/25/2015, 9:22 AM
The THIRST is REAL.
BlackIceJoe - 1/25/2015, 9:24 AM
I really hope not. If John Stewart is though the GL in JL, I so hope Ezra Miller is Wally West instead of Barry Allen then. The reason why is because this way there can be a future Flash & Green Lantern team up film with Hal Jordan and Barry Allen.

If John Stewart is going to be in the film series, I would like to see Quinton Jackson get the job. To date his biggest movie he has been in was The A-Team, but he would be great for the part. His martial arts expertise would really help with John's military background. Plus seeing a fighting scene between him and Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam) would be great too.
PAF - 1/25/2015, 9:24 AM
LMFAO at the "fan" knowing Idris wants out from his Marvel contract. Y'all so pathetic. The DELUSION right now.
Dingbat - 1/25/2015, 9:27 AM
Hal Jordan! Seriously
TronVin - 1/25/2015, 9:29 AM
@BlackIceJoe

Ezra should be Wally anyways. Wally is the best Flash, has the best Reverse Flash, was the one who brought in the Flash's humor and wit, and brought in the concept of the speed force.
Invictor - 1/25/2015, 9:30 AM
I'm not sure about Tyrese in the role, to be honest.
FordEl - 1/25/2015, 9:30 AM
@PAF

Its no secret he wants to leave just by the way he words it and not caring at all for spoiling his appearance as well as Lokis
SuperiorMrGod - 1/25/2015, 9:31 AM
No John Stewart.
LEVITIKUZ - 1/25/2015, 9:31 AM
They should ask Common to be John Stewart. Dude's stock is going up with the Golden Globe.

Also, @TronVin this was the Spawn photo I was talking about.

@PAF

Darktower - 1/25/2015, 9:31 AM
Sure he must be feeling left out in the CBM, and disparate since all his A-list friends in Fast and furious are into CBM, like Gal as WonderWoman, Vin as Groot and Dwayane as Shazam.
I find Iris better than him tho.
SuperiorMrGod - 1/25/2015, 9:31 AM
And if there was a john stewart elba over this garbage actor any day.
TronVin - 1/25/2015, 9:32 AM
@LEVITIKUZ

Again, that's not Spawn. That's Mayhem, a comic he wrote with Jim Lee.

DatScarletPimPerNeLL - 1/25/2015, 9:33 AM
Go unknown for John Stewart if anything. I think that even though Hal can stand alone if there's a solid script, the Corps is definitely bigger than just any one, earth-based Lantern; a solid story can definitely reflect that, whether it's connected to DOJ or a solo film.
LEVITIKUZ - 1/25/2015, 9:34 AM
Y'all realize Idris Elba could have other film commitments and shooting schedules right? He likely can't be GL if he has other commitments and shootings.
PAF - 1/25/2015, 9:34 AM
@FordEl

@Superior

Lmao. Exactly what he needs.
manowar - 1/25/2015, 9:35 AM
@LEVITIKUZ that's not Spawn. It's a character I think he created named Mayhem.

I still think GL is going to be Hal. I wouldn't mind him being John cause he'll probably just be a supporting character in the GL reboot. If he's in it.
LEVITIKUZ - 1/25/2015, 9:35 AM
@TronVin
Ah ok then. Thought it was Spawn due to Todd drawing and signing it.
