50 SHADES Pushed Back; Good News For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Charlie Hunnam may have been Marvel's covert agent as 50 SHADES OF GREY has been delayed by a month. Will this mean a delayed release date as well?

As many people have pointed out, the inevitable box office battle was brewing between GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and 50 SHADES OF GREY. Obviously as readers of this site, you're all like me and beyond stoked to see Dakota Johnson and Jaime Dornan make all sorts of forbidden love.

As The Hollywood Reporter is saying, production of the Twilight Fan Fic film has been delayed a month to December 2nd. A full month after it's scheduled start date.

The director and company have all been frantically trying to keep on track for the August 1st, 2014 release date but it's looking like they may be having to throw that weekend to Marvel and James Gunn's GUARDIANS. A move they will try to avoid, but is it inevitable at this point?

Having the weekend to itself could benefit GUARDIANS from a box office standpoint. With 50 SHADES out of their release date, it could mean that GUARDIANS could take more money home at the box office if this is the case.

Do you think 50 SHADES OF GREY will get delayed? Will you see the movie? Comment in the usual spot below
