Awesome Alternate Designs For Star-Lord And The Nova Corps In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Marvel Studios concept artist Andy Park has revealed some very cool Guardians of the Galaxy concept art and it reveals a new take on Star-Lord and a drastically different take on the Nova Corps armour.

The designs in Guardians of the Galaxy were great, but if you think back, you may recall that the first concept art released from the movie featured a very different take on the heroes. Thanks to Marvel Studios concept artist Andy Park, we have a new look at a very design of Star-Lord and as you can see, he also offers an explanation behind his approach to this take on the "space pirate scavenger." 

Also below is a new take on the Nova Corps, and he pretty much confirms that everyone at Marvel viewed Guardians of the Galaxy as their Star Wars! We'll likely see more of this group when Thanos heads to Xandar to get his hands on the Infinity Stone being hidden there, but whether or not we'll ever see Richard Rider on the big screen remains to be seen! nova corps looks like cylons in that art and i hate the mask that appears out of nowhere on starlord so damn hard.

I really wish they had gone with blue for the Guardians instead of red just like every other MCU hero.

@Mark45 - Only Starlord is wearing the Burgundy jacket. The rest are wearing a navy blue colored uniform.

Maybe Marvel could make a Nova Corps tv show on Netflix or ABC. I doubt they would have time to make a full length movie of it, considering they're so packed with other projects. It could stay Richard Ryder too.

Yeah, I prefer the final film version when it comes to Star-Lord. That Nova Corpsman looks cool, though.

Just watched Guardians of the Galaxy again and man, just awesome. Clever script and solid characters, all of them so charismatic. Can't wait for Vol. 2.

Pretty cool. I'm in the very small group that thought GOTG was average and is way over hyped. It's by no means bad but everything just felt forced and unnatural. But I can already tell by the trailer for Vol. 2 that they've improved on their chemistry and execution and are more confident in their vision. I have high hopes that Vol. 2 will be as epic for me as everyone claims Vol. 1 is for them.
