James Gunn Debunks Claims That Nathan Fillion Will Play 'Nova' In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
It was only ever really speculation anyway, but the internet being, well, the internet, meant that people started running it as fact. Well, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has now taken to Twitter to debunk the rumour that Nathan Fillion will be suiting up as Nova...
With the Nova Corps set to play a role in Guardians of the Galaxy, fans have assumed for a while that we might see Richard Rider make a cameo appearance or at least get a mention. When Latino-Review reported that the character would indeed be included in the movie earlier this week, they also pointed to Nathan Fillion being a possibility, but cautioned that they couldn't confirm it. Well, director James Gunn has taken to Twitter to reveal that it won't be happening, something which isn't really a huge surprise. After all, Nova is a character who could very easily carry his own movie, so casting the 43 year old Castle star in the role makes pretty much so sense whatsoever. Of course, this could just be misdirection, and with Marvel pushing the younger Sam Alexander Nova, Fillion in the role could then be a possibility! What do you guys think?
