The Walking Dead actor Michael Rooker will be portraying Yondu in the upcoming Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy. Here, he takes over twitter and manages to answer a few fan questions about his upcoming role with Marvel.

Recently, Michael Rooker (Yondu) took over Valhalla Entertainment's Twitter page and answered fans' questions. Although he mostly ignored Guardians of the Galaxy questions, he did give out a couple of tidbits.


*When asked what movie he would like to do after Guardians of the Galaxy, Rooker answered, "Another Guardians. Duh."

*Rooker said that it takes "about an hour and a half and two more days to make sure" his blue body paint (for the role of Yondu) is all off.

*While talking about joining the Marvel universe, Rooker jokingly said, I'm in a Marvel movie and its paying my mortgage right now. Love Marvel. Sh*t Yes!!!!!!"

*Rooker first heard about Guardians of the Galaxy from director James Gunn.

*When confusingly asked if he had spent any time with Yondu before playing the character, Rooker joked, "Yeah I visited Yondu. We had a couple pints in London".

*When asked if he had to learn a new skill for Guardians of the Galaxy, Rooker joked, "No, I showed them a few."

*Apparently, Rooker is still filming scenes for Guardians of the Galaxy.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, based on the Marvel comic books of the same name, features an unlikely cast of characters who must team up in order to defeat a cosmic force of epic proportions.

Rooker is great but that outfit is weak.
Imagine when the action figures & statues get made..his will be BORING.

Doesn't need to be flashy or anything but he needs more than a blue face & trench coat.
Something distinctive that's all his own.

If you want to see how dark and twisted this guy can get, check out "Henry:Portrait of a Serial Killer"(IMDb ID: 0099763). First thing I ever saw him in, some 25+ years ago, and it still resonates with me. Beyond disturbing!

AGAIN . . . I don't need Yondu in spandex. You DO need to alter some designs when going from comic to film. I mean, if you put EVERYONE in the skin-tights like 95% of the cmic book universe is . . . it'd be a touch silly.
HOWEVER, there has to be a compromise. Perhaps replace the harness and X-Men-like leather outfit with the star badge, quill-strap, and some NON-CARTOONY red in the rest of his outfit. Kill the duster.

I do agree though, this outfit looks like SH*T, couldn't they have made a better design? Something modern AND tribal looking at the same time? Where are his signature earings?

Soooo Hyped for This Movie! But im not to Happy with the Changes Gun has done to This movie!! I hate the way the Nova Corps Looks, Yondu looks Nothing like himself in the Comics!, now im Afraid to see how Ronan the Accuser looks. I am very Afraid of the The Changes he Might Over Come!!
