Lionsgate Is In Final Negotiations To Release HELLBOY: RISE OF THE BLOOD QUEEN
Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen has a star, director and producing team, but what it doesn't have is a studio to release the film. According to a new report, Lionsgate might step-in and fill that role.
Hellboy is one of those odd franchises that every movie has been released by a different studio. The first film was made by Revolution Studios and released by Columbia Pictures, while Hellboy: The Golden Army was made by Relativity Media and distributed by Universal.
Now, it appears that tradition is set to continue with the upcoming reboot. According to a report by Splash Report, which was then confirmed by The Hollywod Reporter, Lionsgate is in final negotiations to release Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen.
The new film will be directed by Neil Marshall and will star David Harbour as Hellboy. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin and Mike Richardson will be producing the movie, which is reportedly scheduled to shoot this fall.
