While all eyes may be on Zack Snyder's Justice League right now, the filmmaker's next movie looks set to be every bit as exciting. Snyder made his big screen directorial debut with Dawn of the Dead, and he's now returning to the world of zombies for Netflix's star-studded Army of the Dead.
Empire Magazine recently caught up with the filmmaker, and a newly revealed still shows Omari Hardwick's Vanderohe...and his badass saw.
"It’s a rescue saw," Snyder explains. "You could basically cut a car door off with it if you had to, or cut a hole in a wall to get away. But you could also kill a zombie. And that’s gonna happen, right?"
Vanderohe will be part of a crew led by Dave Bautista's Scott Ward as they head to Las Vegas for the heist of a lifetime.
"These guys are just a little bit better at killing zombies than my team in Dawn was," the director teases. "They were making it up as they went along. Whereas in this movie, we arrived at expert zombie killers. It’s incredibly fun to look at and design a world where this handful of amazingly gifted zombie killers are happy to ply their trade in a literal sea of the dead."
