Just days after James McAvoy took to Instagram to confirm that he'd started shooting IT: Chapter 2, Jessica Chastain has now done the same. As you can see, she shared a fan-made image showing Beverly Marsh's transformation from a child to the adult we'll catch up with when the Loser's Club returns to Derry in the sequel in a bid to bring an end to Pennywise the Clown once and for all.

Our first look at the adult cast could be with us as soon as Comic-Con. However, there was originally a plan for Chastain to appear in a post-credits scene teasing the sequel's time jump so had that not been scrapped, we would have already seen her as Bev! She was the first person to join IT: Chapter 2's cast and it's honestly hard to imagine anyone else in the role as fans were behind her from the start.

Joining her and McAvoy in IT: Chapter 2 are Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Jay Ryan as Ben, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, James Ransone as Eddie, and Andy Bean as Stanley Uris. We've heard about a handful of other casting additions but the focus will more than likely remain on these characters and Bill Skarsgard's monstrous clown. Just perfect.

@Repian - far from it. Chastain is terribly overrated and no one with eyes can say that she’s a better choice than Amy Adams.

Can't wait for this movie. Although I can't believe people were actually scared by the first film to he honest. I'm a pussy, seriously, I'm always afraid watching horror movies, but only the projector jump scare scene did scare me.

It's worked more as a really good comedy and coming of age story for me. And I love the production design and cast. But horror? No. Hopefully they will level up their game.

@Unites - Agreed for the most part. But with that said I will never be in the same room with this Pennywise lol

@MrCamw1 - i agree the original Pennywise was far scarier than the new one. I think it was just New “more is better” so he had more teeth etc and it just didn’t work for me.

@MrCamw1 - Agreed. Even if it was just Bill Skarsgaård in costume, I would turn tail and run as soon as I saw him.

I agree that it should’ve been Adams. Didn’t they know what they were doing with that Lois Lane nod?

I love it. She may not be spot on like Adams, but she has shown that she is still believable as adult Beverley. I can't wait. I loved the first one. I wonder what tactics Pennywise will use on his adult victims.

A sequel is so unnecessary. Yeah alot details didn't make it to the movie but it's not like seeing a character wipe his ass, is gonna give that character some depth.
