More From Guillermo del Toro And Stan Lee On ABC's Live-Action Hulk TV Series!

I love The Hulk...but the character needs movie treatment, and more importantly a movie BUDGET. I dont want a TV series, there are so many other comic book characters who deserve big name and big budget series.

The fact that he keeps saying in interviews that it is influenced by Jeph Loeb's run pretty much confirms Red Hulk will be involved, because that's what his whole run was based on.

I think he's a character that was made for the movies XD

Im more worried who will play Bruce Banner!

My vote goes to Kyle Chandler or Ioan Gruffudd!

Guillermo del Toro is such a great guy! I'm not a huge fan ot the Hulk but I'm really curious what del Toro has in mind, cause it's obviously something fresh and original.

i just hope this show is connected to the Marvel cinematic universe.
i get how they want this to be a stand alone show for Hulk, but at least just have it in the same universe

Anyway, this would be so interesting if it were a prequel to the Incredible Hulk movie, ranging from the origin of the experiment that created him (hell, you could even introduce the Hulk right at the end of the first episode as a cliff hanger to the second), how his relationship with Betty soured, the army learning of the Hulk, Thunderbolt Ross being promoted to a US Army General and leader of the Hulkbuster task force, maybe a Tony Stark cameo or two to supply the army with new tech, and the season 1 finale ending with both Betty and her father learning that Banner is Hulk.
Season 2 could then lead to Banner going on the run from the army, establishing contact with Dr Samuel Sterns (aka Mr Blue), Banner fleeing the country, heading to Mexico and other South American countries, til eventually he ends up in Rio de Janeiro and the General first contacts Emil Blonsky, setting up the movie.

It could either end there, or they could spin off to what happens after Incredible Hulk and before Avengers, unless the movie sequel covers that

i don't comment here much since dc fans aren't really welcomed anymore, but i thought i should support mr. no fear out of empathy since our shared favorite hero was so thoroughly mangled this summer.

he's right, lee is and always was a hack. however, he never pretended to be anything else: his goal was to churn out pulp that kids could relate to, and he did it and did it phenomenally well. and clearly his brand of pulp translates much more smoothly to cinema, too. (i mean, I, OF COURSE could have made a great GL movie, but they never called me back about my script...)

anyway, wasn't the hulk more a rip off of the wolf man, since he changed at night when the moon came out? just sayin.

I just hope they have a long story for this and we don't see him just beating up small time crooks and cheesy villains each episode

With del Toro at the wheel of this show it should be great. Look what he did with the Blade 2 film. I'm a 40 plus year old brutha with no favorite tv show other than Avengers EMH cartoon. I don't frickin watch tv like that but I'm gonna tune in for this new Hulk show. Comicbook and movie nerd Fo-Life Beeyaches! LOL!
