The Sun newspaper reports that Gwyneth Paltrow feels that her on-set rival is hogging the limelight and now sparks are flying between the movie’s two female leads.
The newspapers Hollywood source revealed yesterday: “Gwyneth has become very frustrated with Scarlett. “They come from different worlds and have completely different styles. Gwyneth has found Scarlett very demanding of the attention of the crew. It’s not a happy set.”
Apparently, Gwyneth has been left exhausted by a series of strenuous scenes and and is now taking a two-week break from filming. The on-set source added, “Gwyneth and Scarlett have never been particularly close. Gwyneth was looking forward to working with EMILY BLUNT, who was originally in line for the part, but it ended up being Scarlett. Gwyneth’s had to live with that and she has been very professional, but she and Scarlett haven’t developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the half way point. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.”
While Scarlett has apparently been donning sexy catsuits and carrying guns for the scenes shot so far, Gwyneth has mainly had to settle for prim business suits. But she has been assured she will get her moment to come out all guns blazing in the flick’s action-packed finale.
The source went on: “The most spectacular sequence in the movie is a huge fight between Robert and MICKEY ROURKE, and she is going to be right in the thick of things. “That section of the movie is going to be three straight weeks of filming in June. It is by far the most expensive sequence, the centrepiece of the whole project."
