Paramount and Marvel Studios have released the first TV spot for Iron Man 2; which debuted last night during the Kid's Choice Awards broadcast. Check it out here, courtesy of FirstShowing.net:





Iron Man 2 stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell and Samuel L. Jackson. The film is scheduled for US release May 7th, 2010.

scarlett johanson aka the black widow is so damn fine.
the war machine suit is much cooler than the ironman suit.
@ simonsonrules you right emily blunt would of been a much better choice,she is a better actress & just as easy on the eye as scarlett.

I think Emily Blunt might have been the perfect choice, as she seems much more graceful. Still, Scar Jo just looks so damn gorgeous I could care less. And surprisingly, I dont mind the lack of accent at all. It would be a dead give away for a spy if they went around talking in a russian accent all day long, and would be kind of weird. A good spy would blend in, and probably talk without an accent at all. And she's not a russian spy as much as she is a SHIELD spy. And to be honest, I think it would have come off as kind of cheesy.

But still, every time I see more of this movie, the more I cant wait to see it. This movie is going to rock.

Damn no accent :( There is no doubt in my mind it will be a blockbuster, spectacular, amazing, great, FANTASTIC film!!!!!! but still i would've like to of heard the accent on that fine body of hers

It was only one line after all, perhaps she does have an accent later in the film? I don't know. It kind of bothers me, but I'm not going to complain, because I have no control over it and we're still getting Scarjo in tight black leather. That's all that matters. And she's a fine actress.

But it seems like BW was talking to Tony when she said that line. Obviously she may not have been, but if she was, perhaps she's still keeping up the no Russian thing.

As a spy, you would have to be able to fake an accent impeccably - or not have one at all - otherwise your cover would be blown the minute you opened your mouth. People would know exactly where you're from.

Now, whether or not she will have the accent once she 'reveals' herself as a part of shield, I doubt it. But either way, I trust Favs and the team.

This was a great TV spot!

Don Chedals a lot better than terrance howard but i must admit I am still skeptical at his performance. We'll have to wait and see.

Who cares about Scarlett's accent?? I was a bit bummed too, Marvel's going all Colossus/Pyro/Storm on us again, but then it dawned on me that I'll probably be watching her scenes with the volume down anyway.

And Mr. Cheadle is one of my alltime favorite actors. I wish he could have been Rhodey from the start...

hot sexy Scarjo, Muscular dude with energy whips, evil robots, Hero is a playboy, and a series rooted in complex and engaging characters. YOU KNOW FOR KIDS!!!!, I'm all for it being pg-13 and all but theres gotta be an age limitation for these movies. I saw Iron man 1 and this annoying 5 year old kid was telling his dad he was tired and wanted to go home, they didn't leave, bad parenting pal. As for the dough nut line, they had to put that in to show its funny and kid friendly.

All of you people who're saying Cheadle is a better Rhodey than Howard was, then I think you need to re-watch IM. Not only do I hate it when they re-cast any actor for any part in any movie, but Terrence played a great part in the first movie. I've never even seen this nobody Cheadle before this trailer. Apparently he was great in Hotel Rwanda. Whoopdie-freakin'-do.

I dont remember Batman wearing armor in the comic, i dont remember Tony Stark being kidnapped in the Middle East. Re: the accent. She wouldn't be much of spy if she couldn't impersonate a perfect American accent. Think Chekov in STIV "I'm looking for the nuclear wessels". It would be nice to see her "drop cover" and use her 'natural' Russian accent, yes, but on-the-job, she should blend in with whatever cover she's using - and I assume in this case, it's as an American.

The fact that Rooney has gone full-Russky shows that they are paying attention to this kind of thing... ;)
