With a reported $80 million dollar deal to reprise his role of Tony Stark/ Iron Man in this year's Avengers: Age of Ultron and 2016's Captain America: Civil War, it should come as no surprise that Robert Downey Jr. is the world's highest paid actor...again. Downey Jr.'s closest competition was Rush Hour star Jackie Chan, who earned $50 million dollars thanks to his extensive work in Chinese cinema. It was actually China's $240 million dollar appetite for Age of Ultron that helped Downey Jr. clench the victory. The power of Marvel Studios didn't end with Downey, as Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel (Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy) placed third due to F&F7s gross of $1.5 billion. His Guardians co-star and the voice of Rocket Racoon, Bradley Cooper, rounded out the top five, alongside Adam Sandler, largely due to James Gunn's movie and American Sniper.
