Unfortunately, director Zack Snyder wasn't able to finish the film he started, so his friend and
Avengers-director Joss Whedon took over. Although Whedon's intentions may have been good, the finished product isn't the
Justice League movie a lot of fans hoped for.
In the trailers, teasers, previews and TV spots for
Justice League, a lot of footage was shown that didn't make it into the theatrical version. Awesome scenes like
The Flash beating up Parademons, Alfred meeting a resurrected Superman and Bruce Wayne looking at a hologram of The Man of Steel didn't make Whedon's final cut.
Fans have now started an online petition demanding that Warner Bros. release a new/extended cut of
Justice League (they don't seem to be too put off by the fact that a Snyder cut doesn't exist).
This fan made video contains around 95% of the footage that wasn't a part of the theaterical release, which might give us some idea what Snyder's finished film could have looked like.
