JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL: Armie Hammer Reveals Details On Batman's "Exoskeleton" Suit

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. star Armie Hammer was once upon a time cast as Batman in George Miller's Justice League Mortal and he talks here about putting on the Batsuit and its unique design.

Justice League Mortal is one of those comic book movies we'll never see that really could have been something truly special. Mad Max: Fury Road helmer George Miller was set to direct and an impressive cast was assembled which included Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Common as Green Lantern, and Adam Brody as the Flash. However, a combination of a writer's strike and poor planning led to the project being scrapped in 2007 and a live-action movie is now on the way.

During a recent interview to promote Cars 3, Hammer was asked about taking on the role of Bruce Wayne and revealed that the Batsuit would have looked more like an exoskeleton than a regular suit.

"Oh yeah, for sure. I put on the whole suit," he tells Screen Rant. "Weta made our suit. It was all functioning. It had like carbon fiber, and it had like pistons and gears that would function. It was amazing! It was like a exoskeleton suit." That does sound cool, but is a departure from the comics.

Would you guys have enjoyed seeing Hammer suit up as Batman in Justice League Mortal? It obviously won't happen now, but there is at least a slim chance we'll see the actor play Hal Jordan or Shazam!

The cast was strange to say the least. You got that one guy from GI Joe as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Teresa Palmer as Tahlia's Al Ghul, and Jay Burauchel (butchered the spelling) as Maxwell Lord.
And then the plot involves Martian Manhunter being killed in the inciting incident..

However, I think the cast all could have worked, under George Miller's direction of course. The costumes we've seen from it are hit/miss for me though, still trying to find the batman costume.

@azimiq - MMH wasn't killed. The inciting incident is Batman's plans being used against them.

This, ans Teresa Palmer's castings were always the two parts of the movies cast that I most agreed with, common as gl was good too, but some choices were strange.

I'm just saying:

Armie Hammer is 6'4". Ben Affleck is not.

It's bugging me seeing fan posts drooling over that "fact" when it's clearly not the case. And btw, Ben is actually the perfect height for Bruce at 6'2" anyway.
