It's widely believed that Justice League's original post-credits scene was going to set the stage for The Batman, a movie which would have seen Ben Affleck's Caped Crusader fending off Deathstroke. It's likely the assassin had been dispatched by Lex Luthor to kill the Dark Knight in revenge for his the Superman villain's imprisonment in Arkham Asylum.
After previously confirming that he reshot that post-credits scene, Slade Wilson actor Joe Manganiello revealed what he could about that during a recent interview with Collider.
"If I was a part of it, it wouldn't be my place to announce that. That would be Zack [Snyder]'s place. Whether or not that's happening. That is an answer that's below my NDA level."
Okay, so that's not much, but what can he say about his original post-credits scene as Deathstroke?
"On my social media, I talked about [how] there was an original end credits sequence that was altered for the release of Justice League," Manganiello noted. "Once Batman was cancelled, they altered that scene. So, here you go, but I wrote about that on my social media. There’s an original scene that will be restored to what it was originally."
It's possible, albeit somewhat unlikely, that Manganiello is part of Zack Snyder's reshoots to give Deathstroke a larger role in proceedings, but you have to hope we will get to see that original scene.
Would you like to see more Slade Wilson in "The Snyder Cut"?
