Don’t worry folks, Henry Cavill has not died. Despite what you may have read on the internet this weekend, the DCEU star is alive and well; although, even he seems a bit confused by the latest headlines.

Cavill, who is best known these days for his role as Superman in the DC Extendued Universe, was the latest victim of an internet celebrity death hoax. A prankster apparently changed his official Wikipedia bio to claim the actor died on March 3, 2018. Cavill, who was seemingly made aware of the prank today, posted his response on Instagram to assure his fans he's still kicking. As you can see, he’s very perplexed and possibly slightly concerned.

When you learn that you died 2 days ago....

As of this writing, Cavill's Wikipedia bio still states he passed away on March 3. Thankfully, we now have confirmation that's not true.

Cavill's fake death follows news of the very real and very scary heart attacked that filmmaker and massive comic book fan Kevin Smith suffered from last week. Thankfully, he, too, is recovering.

@knocturnalzen10 - As a fan of almost all incarnations of the character, he has always felt like Superman to me.

Man of Steel was like the character in Earth One and in the early Post Crisis Era, as well as in the 2000s, with a LITTLE Donner and the Animated Series thrown in for good measure.

Batman v Superman was like the character in stories like Infinite Crisis, Kingdom Come, Superman For All Seasons and For Tomorrow among other stories where the hero feels like he's not doing enough and that it might be better for everyone if he just walked away.

Justice League did an OK job with the character, but he was a little too much like the Donner Superman. I still loved his return. I just wish he was more like he was in the interrogation sequence and the epilogue for Man of Steel. Of course, this is where he has a second chance at life. In addition to pulling from those stories, Snyder also pulled from It's A Wonderful Life, and Justice League is where he realizes he's alive again and celebrates. So we can afford him being super optimistic even in Snyder's version of the film. Lol.

It is no big deal he will be back in no time with no real emotional impact just like in the DCEU.
