Warner Bros. Expected To Debut New DC Films Footage At WonderCon - Could It Be The JUSTICE LEAGUE Trailer?
Following their rumored appearance at CinemaCon, WB has also been confirmed to have a panel at WonderCon that same weekend, and they're expected to debut new footage from their DC Films slate!
Rumor has it that 2x Academy Award-winner Ben Affleck a.k.a. The Batman himself might be making an appearance at CinemaCon at the end of the month (Mar. 27-30) to promote Zack Snyder's magnum opus Justice League, and while any potential footage shown at that event will remain exclusive to theater owners, it sounds like fans may actually be treated to some new footage themselves at the turn of the month.
According to the official Comic-Con website, Warner Bros. has signed up for a panel at WonderCon this year, and they're expected to showcase sneak peeks at some films in their upcoming slate, including their DC Films lineup. “Get a sneak peek at upcoming films from Warner Bros., New Line, and DC Entertainment Films, with special guests TBA.” The panel has been slated to run from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm PST (7:30 pm - 9:00 pm EST) on Saturday, April 1st.
It's unclear what they plan on releasing, but if we had to wager a guess, a Justice League trailer, which is undoubtedly at the top of everyone's wishlist, is probably the biggest bet. Outside of that, an extended sneak peek at Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman, a sizzle reel, and/or a major announcement regarding the future of DC Films could also be in the cards.
As for the other Warner Bros. & New Line films that are also teased in the announcement, expect to see previews for a combination of the following: King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The House, Dunkirk, Annabelle 2, It, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, Geostorm, and maybe Blade Runner 2049.
On another note, with an appearance at both CinemaCon and WonderCon in the same week, could this be our first sign that Warner Bros. may be planning on skipping San Diego Comic-Con this July?
