In the Snyder Cut of Justice League, we would have seen a lot more of the epic battle between the humans, Amazons, and Atlanteans as they took on Darkseid and Steppenwolf's forces. The theatrical version of the film only briefly featured that, along with a sequence set on Themyscira which saw the latter villain steal a Mother Box from Hippolyta and company.
During an interview with Coming Soon, actress Connie Nielson was asked about whether her scenes in Joss Whedon's version of the movie were cut when the filmmaker took over from Zack Snyder.
"My absolute favorite stunt was cut from the film, and I’m having a hard time accepting that, it was so cool," she admitted, confirming that all her scenes were directed by Snyder. "I got to run up a wall and pivot in the air, and as I pivoted on my way down I speared one of the monsters. I literally did that for weeks to get that, and then they didn’t put it in."
"They took it out, they put it in, they took it out...It’s my great regret because I love stunts, I love being a badass in a film like that, and then sorry that the audience didn’t get to see that part of the cool Amazon fighting techniques, because they were very cool!," the actress concluded.
We can now add another crime to the list Whedon committed when he took over this DC Comics movie, as being robbed of a badass scene like this really is unbelievable. The director likely had his reasons, but with both the scene on Themyscira and the battle narrated by Wonder Woman so trimmed down, there was really no excuse for this!
