Yesterday, Justice League and Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder shared a cryptic video featuring the voice of Darkseid, sending speculation into overdrive in the process.
Some had hoped that this might be teasing some kind of SnyderVerse revival, but the filmmaker has all-but confirmed his plans with a new Vero post.
The incoming transmission told us to "save the date" (28th, 29th and 30th of April), and this shot of Henry Cavill's Superman also lists Snyder's DCEU movies, Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and ZSJL.
We're going to assume these films will be returning to theatres for a limited run on those three dates next month.
Some fans still seem to be holding out hope that this signifies new DCU projects on the horizon, but at this point, it really is time to let go of the SnyderVerse for good.
Warner Bros. brass made it clear that they had no interest in revisiting Snyder's movies after the release of his JL director's cut, and even though DC Studios co-head James Gunn has previously confirmed that he's spoken to Snyder about the new DCU slate, it clearly had nothing to do with some sort of future collaboration.
