Aaron Taylor-Johnson Says He "Can't Rule Out" KICK-ASS 3

During the Godzilla press conference Johnson is quizzed about a possible return to the role of Kick-Ass, and says that although he's not contracted, it might be a possibility. Bryan Cranston also jokes about wanting to see Kick-Ass VS. Godzilla.

Kick-Ass 2 definitely left the door open for a threequel, and we know Mark Millar has written that story -- but will the movie ever happen? During the press conference for Godzilla Flicks And The City asked Aaron Taylor-Johnson if it was a possibility, and although he's not under contract to reprise the role, he sounds like he might be up for it anyway.

You can see the rest of Flicks And The City's coverage of the conference at the link below.

They'll do Kick-ass 3 - however due to how bad Kick-ass 2 was they'll need to change a lot. It'll end up being better than the second but still worse than the first.

Its interesting that if Kick-ass 2 had stayed true to the comics then we would have gotten a better Times Square fight than The Amazing Spider-man 2 gave us.

As for when the third will be out... well... 2016 seems likely given the 3-year gap between the first and second.

I'm on the fence when it comes to a third one. The sequel was just ok to me.

The sequel was a 7/10 but Mother Russia stole the show for me! lol And who could forget that teaser before the credits rolled? I loved it! They might as well finish it on a high note and focus on other Millarverse films.

@Comedian- yes, yes you are....

KA2 was not BAD, but like someone said, it was pretty "soulless"...

McLovin was the only decent thing about that turd, with a pleasant little sprinkle of Jim Carrey....

Everything else pretty much sucked...

SPOILER:

I hope they bring back the motherfu**er with robot arms and legs.... I feel like it would be so ridiculous and perfect for his character after how he turned out in KA2...

@xfan320

Agreed, that would be too cool. I have a feeling they'll incorporate him in the threequel somehow if they already haven't done it within the comic. lol

Kick-Ass 3 in the Pipeline to Complete the Trilogy

If you didn't get enough of Kick-Ass this summer there's more Ass to Kick in the third and Final Installment.

I honestly think the hinging factor is how big of a breakout star Aaron Taylor Johnson will become after AOU hits this summer....

If he ends up being awesome, people will clamor for a KA3, and we'll get one...

Done AND done...

If he's only pretty good, reduce likelihood by 75%...

0% chance if the DOFP Quicksilver ends up being a better character...

Kick-Ass 2 made no money. There's no way it's getting a sequel.
