Vaughn of the film, "The whole movie's about taking the things that we're familiar with and turning them on their head, without losing touch with what people like or love about superhero comic-book movies. There's nothing in this movie that couldn't, in theory, happen in real life. If you took an 11 year-old girl and trained the hell out of her every [frick]ing day for six years, there's a chance she could do most of that stuff. It's not likely, but it's possible. Every costume was designed, I said, 'Make sure this could be made by some guy who's been buying stuff on the internet'."
