Fan anticipation for director Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of the Kick-Ass comic book by Mark Millar is high, and, apparently, so is one of the film's main characters!

Actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad) described his Kick-Ass character, the Red Mist, in a recent interview with MTV:

"My character is very more out there, very open with smoking weed and is like, 'let's go out there and fight crime!' and Kick-Ass is very aware of what's going on around him."

For those who have not read the comic book, Mintz-Plasse did not want to give away any spoilers, but said that he did get to see some action.

"I have one-and-a-half fight scenes. I can't tell you what it is."

ANIL: Im here dude, lol!!! :D And hell yeah to CBM having its own comic section! I think I'll repost my article on the matter in fact!

Whenever I've written a comic book related article thats then ended up making the main page, its normally got way over 100 comments which shows that there is interest!

Now this is comicbookMOVIE.com but a seperate section would be fine and only the big comic book stories should make the main page (like Cap's death a few years back for example!)

Josh...I could watch that all day!

Im really perplexed by Plasse being cast as Red Mist. Now, obviously I haven't seen the movie but he seems like the last person to play that part. Mist is supposed to be the cool kid that Kick Ass looks up to..not the other way around. Also, whats with the outfit? Every other character is fairly spot on but they turn Mist's cool looking Red costume into that glam rock nightmare! Anyway, maybe Vaughan has his reasons...

I actually kind o' like the new outfit for the movie version of Red Mist, it is true that it's a little glam, but I just thought that the costume he wears in the comics is way too ordinary and close to kick-ass, the leather and crazy hair makes it seem like he put more money and work into it.

a nice secluded beach 10 minutes from my house!
it's Nov and it still gets to be about 70
