EDITORIAL: How Lobo Can Build Off Of Certain Films

I discuss what Lobo can take from certain films.

While watching Men in Black 3 the other day, I couldn't help but see a resemblance the villain had to Lobo. That got me thinking a bit about how certain films can benefit the creation of a Lobo movie.

MEN IN BLACK 3

As I said before, the main character, Boris the Animal, has a strong resemblance to our favorite space bounty hunter. Both have mullets, both have short beards, and both drive really big motorcycles. You might think that its just a coincidence, but I think that whoever makes the Lobo movie should take inspiration from this.

Another aspect from the film that I'd like to bring up, is the ridiculous aliens. In my opinion, no other movie franchise can do aliens better than MIB. Lobo hunts and fights aliens on a regular basis. MIB also keeps their aliens on earth, and the Lobo movie inevitably will take place on earth.

CAT IN THE HAT

This movie was bad. I mean really, really bad. I might be the worst (and most idiotic) film I've ever seen. It had some of the worst acting I've ever seen. Its worse than Green Lantern, Spiderman 3, Blade Trinity, and X-Men Origins Wolverine combined.

But as bad as this movie was, the titular charactr was even more obnoxious. Mike Meyers as the Cat in the Hat is one of the worst casting choices I've ever seen. It felt like Dr. Suess had eaten and shat out the offspring of Beavis and Butthead. He even had the Beavis laugh. But what if our friend Lobo took some inspiration from that shit fest? Lobo is one of the most obnoxious characters in all of comics. Hes even been rumored as a parody of Wolverine. Being extremely obnoxious didn't work for the Cat, but it might be able to work for Lobo.

THE TERMINATOR

When I think of Lobo, I think of someone strong and brutish. When I think of the Terminator, I think of someone strong and brutish. When lands on earth, he isn't going to be polite and courteous. He's going to be punching everybody he sees, and looking for his bounty.

Lobo's villain should be stronger and even more brutish than Lobo. Personally, I think the villain should be a variation of an Amazo-bot. Those things are Terminators times five.

At the end of the day, I'm not a big Lobo fan. I just saw a movie, and thought I'd share my thoughts.

Is this a joke? No offense, but how the heck does Lobo take inspiration from Cat in the Hat? It's an okay article, but I just have to agree with Marvelgeek... Yeah.. I really don't know what to say...

Lobo isnt just a parody of Wolverine. when Lobo was created, they took all the worst elements of all the most popular anti-hero characters during that craze in the 90's, rolled them all together, and out popped Lobo.

His movie will fail, but I have a hard time believing it will ever get made. They've been talking about it for a long time and nothing ever seems to move forward on it.

@Fenix: I wasn't saying that Lobo should take inspiration from Cat in the Hat. I was saying he should take inspiration from Mike Myer's interpretation of the Cat in the Hat. What I meant to say was that Lobo should be extremely obnoxious, because that's what his character generally is. This article isn't intended to be a joke, but you are entitled to your own opinion.

@CorndogBurglar: I wasn't saying that Lobo was a Wolverine parody, I was saying that some people think he is.
