The official San Diego Comic-Con website has been gradually releasing this year's schedule over the past few days and earlier this morning, they finally shared their Saturday lineup, which confirms the return of a major fan favorite.

As per tradition, Marvel Studios will host their presentation during the coveted 5:15 pm - 6:45 pm PST time slot with Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige onstage and it sounds like he's bringing more than a few undisclosed friends. "Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige and surprise panelists provide an inside look at the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Considering practically nothing is yet known about Marvel Studios' plans for Phase 4 and beyond, their upcoming presentation could - and likely should - be considered the most anticipated SDCC event in recent memory.

As for what to expect, it's reasonable to assume Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, which is currently in production, will be leading the charge during the presentation. Fans should also look to receive official announcements for a number of other titles, including, but not limited to, Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, Eternals, Shang-Chi, Captain Marvel 2, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Plus, expect more than a few surprises as Marvel Studios unveils their mysterious Phase 4 plans (Thor 4? Spider-Man 3?) and don't be shocked to possibly get an update on The New Mutants. It also seems increasingly likely that this night will finally be when we get an update regarding the X-Men and Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Check back in on Monday for a comprehenisve breakdown of this year's SDCC schedule!

As Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and the remaining Avengers gear up to use the Nano Gauntlet, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) puts up a shield to protect himself and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) from any unforeseen blowback from the Infinity Stones.

Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) hitches a ride on Iron Patriot's (Don Cheadle) back as the duo follow Rescue (Gwyneth Paltrow) into battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his army.

Better late than never, right? As the resurrected arrive via portals, Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Iron Patriot (Don Cheadle) make their entrance with Giant-Man (Paul Rudd) and the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). There's no dialogue, which makes sense considering Cap's (Chris Evans) next line, but it probably would've been cool to get an "Oh yeah" from Rocket here as a callback to his first appearance.

In one of the film's most pivotal moments, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) takes Captain America (Chris Evans) to 1970 to steal an earlier version of the Space Stone and grab some more Pym Particles, which come back into play at the end of the film.

These are strange times indeed as we find out what's become of the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in the five-year time jump as he's now combined Banner and the Green Goliath to become the best of both worlds.

After decimating the Avengers Compound, Thanos (Josh Brolin) was at his most confident here as he bided his time while past Nebula (Karen Gillan) fetched the Infinity Stones.

This moment was always inevitable as Thanos (Josh Brolin) unleashed his forces upon the Avengers in the battle to end all battles.

After an absolute rollercoaster of a character arc, the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) was at full strength as he squared off against Thanos (Josh Brolin) with the combined might of Mjolnir and Stormbreaker.

The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Iron Patriot (Don Cheadle), and Giant-Man (Paul Rudd) make their grand entrance on the battlefield and prepare for war.

One of the most stunning shots in the entire film and perhaps, in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe as the three flagship Avengers - Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) - step onto the battlefield to take down Thanos (Josh Brolin) once and for all.

"You could not live with your own failure, and where did that bring you? Back to me." - Josh Brolin has been incredible Thanos and will be sorely missed as the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves onto a new chapter of storytelling.

"Whatever it takes." - After getting an inspirational talk from Captain America (Chris Evans), Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and the living Avengers gear up for their trip through the Quantum Realm.

"Avengers Assemble!" - Enough said. We've been waiting a decade to hear that line and Chris Evans absolutely delivered. His fellow founding Avengers - Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) - can also be seen in the shot, which makes the moment even more monumental.

Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) makes the ultimate sacrifice to finally put an end to Thanos' (Josh Brolin) conquest.

Goddamn. (What is Spider-Man swinging from?)

A-Force assembled. Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), Shuri (Letitia Wright), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Rescue (Gwyneth Paltrow), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) all come together to help Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) deliver the Nano Gauntlet to Ant-Man (Paul Rudd).

The five years have been especially rough on Ronin (Jeremy Renner), who lost his entire family at the beginning of the film, and then, the film isn't any kinder to him as he also ends up losing his best friend, Nat (Scarlett Johansson).

Rescue (Gwyneth Paltrow), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Shuri (Letitia Wright) prepare for the fight of their lives.

Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) arrives with Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), Miek, and all the remaining Asgardians to defend their home.

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) makes a cool entrance in an Audi E-Tron GT to make amends with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and give him back his shield. Plus, he also solves the whole time travel problem.

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

@Nightwing1015 - And an announcement that the bullies who harassed little Morgan Stark were sacrificed to Mephistopheles

@Nightwing1015 - I’m hoping we get something like this:

Can't wait!

Also, finally saw Hellboy last night. Not the disaster I was expecting, but still not very good at all. David Harbour and (most) of the supporting cast do raise it up a bit.

2.5/10

@MUTO123 - 2.5 out of 10 sounds like a disaster to me though lol
MUTO123
MUTO123 - 7/6/2019, 10:50 PM
@Murdock857859 - I’d say a 1 or a 0 is more disaster mode to me.

@MUTO123 - If you got a 25% on a test, you wouldn't call that a disaster?
MUTO123
MUTO123 - 7/6/2019, 11:43 PM
@DrFreudstein - I'd say it's bad, but still not disaster-level. To me, a movie qualifies as a disaster when it gets absolutely NOTHING right. Examples: Transformers 4 & 5, Venom, The Snowman, After Earth, The Last Airbender, The Emoji Movie, Holmes and Watson, Gods of Egypt, Fant4stic, Movie 43, Grown Ups 2, any Marlon Wayans movie post-2010.
MUTO123
MUTO123 - 7/6/2019, 11:45 PM
And honestly, what keeps it from going down to disaster-level is the performances. I really liked them for the most part, to the point that I could actually watch clips from this movie (I'm not watching the whole [frick]ing thing again) and not hate what I'm watching simply because of the actors.
MUTO123
MUTO123 - 7/6/2019, 11:46 PM
@DrFreudstein - Plus, I'm grading on a different sort of metric than how teachers grade tests. On tests, anything lower than 60% is a failing grade. Not so much when it comes to grading films (to me, at least).
rkshuttleworth
rkshuttleworth - 7/7/2019, 9:09 PM
@MUTO123 - Considering that I liked Venom at least that means to me that every opinion means little unless you are able to watch a film without bias.

I can only imagine what they will reveal. This sort of feels like it did before they announced the first Avengers film. Definitely some big things coming.

Sooooo, with an hour and a half presentation, is it safe to say that a FULL phase 4 announcement is a safe bet? Like,is this the longest panel they've ever had? Because, if so, they clearly have a lot to show.
PantherKing
PantherKing - 7/6/2019, 5:36 PM
@ScarletWarlock - there’s a rumor the cast of avengers endgame will be getting their sendoff at this presentation.

@ScarletWarlock - Yep, I think so. I think they'll also announce 3 movie slots for 2023 and 2024 each. Phase 4 is planned between 2020-24 after all.
