Sometimes he's good, sometimes he's bad, but he's always enormous and of ill-tempered. Godzilla is a pop culture keystone, having starred in over 29 movies, with a new movie currently in works by the studio that brought us 300, Legendary Pictures. He has saved Japan and destroyed it several times over. What would you do if you were hanging out at the beach and this cheeky bugger came out at you? Would you run in abstract terror, or perhaps get him an extra large cotton candy? If Godzilla's next movie is from the '300' guys then I would fully expect Godzilla to take from us everything and give us nothing; either that or he'll boot a skyscraper into some bottomless precipice. Godzilla is actually a cross between the two words for Gorilla and Whale in Japanese, and looking at him, you can begin to see how the name was invented. He is a massive, bipedal creature with a semblance of humanoid intelligence, but he comes from the sea and is absolutely massive like a whale. Ok, maybe that last part is a bit of a stretch but we're just trying to make sense out of it all! Names aren't all that important anyways, and as much as one would think that the Godzilla movies are just destructive fun, the films have always carried a serious undertone. Godzilla is the world's biggest chirp against nuclear weapons! Godzilla – the world's most massive and meanest hippie. You can see our whole selection at Godzilla T-Shirts
Our first shirt helps to cement our scaly comrade in the annals of history. 'King of the Monsters' is such an apt title, don't you think? No others even come close to Godzilla. This t-shirt is a 30 thread count; meaning that it is incredibly soft and the quality is exceptional, as always! What would you even come up as a possible contender for the 'King'? We were thinking a 100 foot tall Paris Hilton or just a normal Gary Busey. Well, maybe Gary Busey riding one of those flying creature things from Avatar. That may pose a somewhat serious threat to Godzilla, and it would make for one helluva movie. (Pay special attention Legendary Pictures!). Get it and maybe his next rampage won't be in your town, you can find it at
Godzilla King of all Monsters T-Shirts
Well, since we were just talking about whom could single handedly take on Godzilla, what about those poor little guys with the pop cap guns and the plastic tanks? Godzilla always needed some cannon fodder in between his gleeful destruction of buildings. Plus, it helps to feed the idea that we –might- have a chance against something like this if the event should ever arise. Violence only begets more violence! This t-shirt, like the previous one, is a 30 thread count meaning that those military dudes will be so jealous of your ethereal gear. Check it out at
Godzilla vs Army T-Shirt
The next shirt on the docket is one featuring a menacing portrait of Godzilla. Man, he looks pissed, like somebody stepped on his toes or left the toilet seat up. Godzilla is one Daikaiju (Japanese for monster) who really shows no mercy or compassion, at least in this shirt! This 100% cotton shirt is well crafted and suited for intense staring match contests. Never fear when Godzilla is clearing the way! Check it out at
Godzilla Portrait T-Shirt
Our final new Godzilla t-shirt highlights a very tumultuous relationship. This t-shirt has a sharp image of Godzilla with Japan's Rising Sun in the background. Sometimes friends, sometimes enemies, Japan and Godzilla just don't know what to do. We would imagine it to be a very long series of awkward mornings and ugly nights. Regardless of what happens, Godzilla has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Japan is a jilted lover who is definitely going to keep calling. This t-shirt is 100% cotton, 30 thread count, and features a slightly sublimated image. Treasure the love/hate goodness! You can find it at
