Well, we certainly can't wait for the movie to get here (in the US, of course). Surprise, we're not tired of talking about it either.

Now that you're thinking you're tired of SuperHeroStuff's lame posts more than you are sick of Avengers chatter we will cease and desist with what you don't want to read and show you some pretty pictures of the coolest Avengers collectibles on the internet.

Ever wish you could have the entire Avengers movie cast in your living room? Whether you have or aren't that imaginative we will make that wish come true with these larger than life Stand-Ups.

Seriously these are like 7 feet tall and so lifelike that you should try to remember that you left Hulk standing over your bed before you wake up in the morning. Yes, we know some of you want Black Widow standing over your bed, but we're not going there. oops, maybe we just did.

Sadly, I actually am getting a bit burned out with all the Avengers stuff going on. So many clips and spoilers and such make me feel like I saw the movie months ago. I'm sure I'll feel better in line to watch it on midnight.

It does feel like a bit of burn-out and I know a lot of people think that they may have given away too much, but I have heard from those who have seen it that the multitude of clips out there can not prepare you for what you actually see on the screen. So, that is comforting:)

Watched The Avengers at the cinema twice. I am done with this film .I am moving my main attention to Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises now. Whilst The Avengers action sequences were phenomenal, there was not a great deal of emotional depth. I didn't feel much for the characters. It was a bit hollow on that front.

This is why I am ready to focus on TASM and TDKR. They will hopefully deliver what The Avengers couldn't.

The released footage and other publicity has given away the whole story I'm afraid to say.Although the movie is still a great watch.

My only problem with this site is spoilers in titles. Casting news, location(the Prison TWD) can't remember all. my 2 cents is titling them in general terms. Avengers News, and click on it if ur interested. I am religious with ur site but I am a die-hard blindman.

Get a grip little boy.No one said it'd have to be anything other than it is.We were only pointing out that if you want to see any kind of character progression at all,you won't be getting it.
Still a good, enjoyable movie, but lacking any kind of 'point' for any of the characters. What motivations there are are glossed over in no time. Its all about the action. Not a bad thing (and like I've said, huge fun!),but it could have been more and swung a much bigger stick if it'd had some depth to it.
I'll still give it a 3.5-4 out of 5.No need to get your panties in a bunch ;)

@xaviersfinest: Yeah, I mean it was great for what it was but it wasn't as life changing as some people have been saying. The story and (as I said in the post above) depth were quite weak.

I mean the action sequences were fantastic and definitely featured some truly epic moments but that's all that really amazed me. Now one could argue, "well that is why you go to see a film like Avengers". To an extent I agree with this notion but I guess I just wanted more really. I expected more after the overall positive reviews.

I have even heard people say it is better than The Dark Knight. I would just like to add before I continue I am not biased about The Dark Knight. If I am biased of anything it would be Spider-Man because he is my favourite superhero. My point is after seeing The Dark Knight Rises trailer today, it gave me chills. Why? Because, yes it didn't feature the impactive action sequences The Avengers trailer did but it had emotional depth in it and feeling. That is what I look for in movies because not only am I a comic book fan, I am a big movie fanatic. The Dark Knight Rises trailer ticked the right boxes for me personally and I hope it delivers what the trailer is suggesting. I want to leave the cinema and feel that I was emotionally invested with the characters and unfortunately in The Avengers I didn't have this feeling.

Now, don't get me wrong. The Avengers was great for what it was and I am certain the people who have not watched it yet will have a fantastic time because it is a fun movie. It just did not feature everything I was specifically looking for. Whilst it is great to see phenomenal action sequences it falls a bit flat in my opinion, when there is no emotional attachment to the characters. I would prefer to have less action sequences and have a very complex and well thought out story instead but I guess that is down to my own personal preference.

@soforzio: Lol, you clearly have no understanding of emotional depth if you think Twilight had it. There is a reason why Twilight is for teenage school girls.

Avengers had no flaws in my opinion. As great as the Dark Knight was, it doesn't hold up to repeat viewings. I had either a giant grin or my jaw on the floor nearly the entire movie with The Avengers. The dialogue, acting and of course the action were an A+. There were so many memorable scenes that I have literally forgot twice as many as I could remember. Every character owns and as most have heard Hulks blows you away in a couple scenes in particular. I don't know how this movie could possible be topped. Just seeing the characters, whom we have come to love in their own movies, together on screen was surreal, literally too awesome to put into words. I cannot wait for second viewing at midnight!

For the record, I have a Batman tattoo, definitely not biased in any way. This movie is exactly what a Comic Book Movie should be. Kudos to Joss, the actors and everyone at Marvel that have spent the last 5+ years creating this masterpiece for us to enjoy!

I saw a pirated copy and im totally dissapointed for 3 reasons

1. After seeing this movie ,reality seems alot more dull
it was so amazing that its like a drug while your seeing it you get such a high but when its over its like ....now what?

2.I saw a bad copy first instead of my first time being in a theater.

3. How can i enjoy the amazing siderman knowing its not part of this amazing universe
Ashes2Phoenix
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/1/2012, 4:25 PM
@kevberg: Unfortunately, this was one of the only sequences were it really happens. Like Xaviersfinest said to soforzio: It glosses over these aspects within a couple of moments. To be fair this film did not have the depth that such films as: Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight and Chronicle have. There is nothing wrong with this fact because it delivers fantastically with the action sequences.

Let's just take CBM'S out of the equation for the moment. The reason why the first Matrix movie was so beloved was not just because of the action sequences. It was the depth that was built with the characters during the film. By doing this the action sequences had a great meaning and feeling to them. The action sequences in The Avengers are great but they could have spent a bit more time building the tension, to the point you are screaming "go get them guys".

It just made the film feel a tiny bit flat that is all. No need to get defensive because it is still a great action film but will it receive an oscar? To put it bluntly. No it won't. Was the film good? Yes it was and the action sequences are groundbreaking but that is all the film offers really.

@SFCamerica: That scene with The Hulk and Thor had me in stitches at the cinema. Also love the sequence with The Hulk and Loki, that was great too ! In my opinion, The Hulk and Loki completely stole the show. Specifically Tom Hiddlestone/Loki, he was a class act. He is a great actor.

@soforzio: How am I pretending ? Lol

The overall tone of The Dark Knight rises trailer gave me that impression. It had atmosphere to it much like the Prometheus trailer does and that attracts me to films. I actually don't know why you are fighting me about this ?

If anything, I am a Spiderlite. I am looking forward to The Amazing Spider-Man the most this year. It is my most anticipated film. Second Prometheus and a joint third between The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit. The Avengers was up there with Spider-Man but I have seen it twice now so it is no longer on the list.

Honestly, it is just my opinion of the film, it's not going to affect yours, so I don't see what the problem is to be honest?

@Ashes - a silent movie won best picture, you can dismiss at least half the films nominated every year. I thought this film established plenty of emotion and tension. It was just focused on the team more than the threat itself. As all the characters have already been established, this is still an origins movie, which is why I feel they used Loki and a throw away army, that way you don't have to spend more time establishing a new villain.

Without the Joker, specifically Heath's performance, The Dark Knight wouldn't have been nearly as good or successful. Others were good, but he himself made that movie what it was. Every character in Avengers had jaw dropping moments with a slight edge to the Hulk.

I enjoyed The First Avenger (could've been better with someone other than Joe Johnston at the helm), but Joss and company showed how truly awesome and badass Cap really is in just a single scene. Makes me wish that he, or anyone for that matter, would have directed TFA.

I believe Bane will be ok (hoping for great), but nowhere near Heath's Joker, however, the only other addition is Catwoman... I don't think she'll add anything special to the mix, just hope she doesn't ruin it. From what I've seen, TDKR has no chance of being better than Bats last outing.
You can't truly believe that skinny as a toothpick Anne Hathaway is a good choice for CW. Not to mention that she has always appeared to be one of the most unathletic actors in Hollyweird.

concerning the lack of depth and emotional attachment to the characters, i do agree it was a bit low... but that was what the preceding movies were for. with six avengers, the shield entourage, and loki, there just isnt enough time to build that kind of plot up to pull at the heart strings as they say. the former marvel movies were made first so you would know the characters, their individual plot threads, and what is motivating them through the whole series. the avengers was the climax of that, and the point of them coming together was putting ALL of that away, everything that was going on with them up to that point, so they could stand together against this threat that they all swore on their own accord to fight against. whether it was thor following up his promise to "son of coul" or due to his brother, cap's oath to defend not just america, but the innocent of the planet, or shield agents obvious duty and obligations. yes, the plot and emotional depth was a little shallow, but that wasnt the point of this movie. the point of this movie was to see them all together kicking ass to put it bluntly. cap 2, thor 2, and im 3 will surely have more of that cinematic chunk that the avengers had to discard to "bring the comicbook to life." thats my opinion anyways... and on a side note, it wasn't completely devoid of heart. more so put on the side burner
