DC Entertainment have yet another tv adaptation of one of their comic books in the works, this time at WGN America. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cable network is developing a series based on the Vertigo comic, Scalped, which is a pretty great crime tale set on a Native American reservation. The series will be written by Banshee scribe Doug Jung. When I interviewed Prometheus actor Logan Marshall-Green a while back, he said if he could play any comic book character it'd be Dashiell "Dash" Bad Horse from Scalped..so maybe now's his chance!  Jason Aaron's Scalped launched in 2007 and ran for 60 issues, ending in 2012.

I tried readin' this a few years back. Only got a few issues in, and I barely remember 'em. I don't really remember why I stopped, though, but I do love crime/noir stuff..

Criminal,Incognito, 100 Bullets, Sin City, etc. I'm usually into that kinda shit, so I'll probably give Scalped another try.

I really hope they decide to film this in New Mexico, we have such a strong Native American presence here.

This is bullshit. F*ck WB/DC. They'll make a TV show out of this, but not the Flash or Green Arrow or......oh.

Never mind. Sorry about that guys.

WB is finally realizing the treasure trove they have in Vertigo.

Sandman (JGL) is on the way as is Fables, which is being developed by the Harry Potter producers.

They already have the Matrix (based on Grant Morrison's The Invisibles) and now Constantine is getting a pilot on NBC while Preacher is coming to AMC.

I hope they continue to mine Vertigo. I would love an Animal Man or Swamp Thing show on HBO or Showtime.

I read it a few years ago. It wasn't bad. They better cast a Native American as the lead character or else this show can eat shit.

Never heard of it...

Banshee is an awesome show, so it could definitely be interesting.

WGN can't be any worse than CW as a network, and CW has managed to make a successful CBTV show. I'm in.

Never heard of it, I'll look into it.

If were goin' with more Vertigo shows, I'd still love to see an adaptation of The Losers on USA or something. The movie didn't do the comic justice.
