Jon Favreau Wants To Go 3-D

It was all the rage at Comic-Con. Everybody seems to want it. What is it? 3-D!

"I really love the 3-D," the "Iron Man 2" director told us at Comic-Con, echoing the recent sentiments of Marvel Studios honcho Kevin Feige. "I think 'Up' was probably my favorite movie I've seen this year."

As fans of the franchise know, Marvel has plans to make at least one more "Iron Man" film, as well as an "Avengers" flick in 2012 that will feature Tony Stark. If Favreau has his way, he'd like at least one of those films to be three-dimensional.

"I really love the 3-D," doesn´t neccesarily mean that Iron Man 3 will be 3D, does it? or that Fav´s wishes ARE Marvel´s.

The last one i saw was the U2 3D movie concert and it was COOOOL as hell, but yeah, getting used to the glasses is kind of lame.. and the direction of the movie OF COURSE that takes a different direction.. objects in first plane put there ON PURPOSE,ETC..

but if it is indeed the future, then we´ll have to embrace it sooner or later.. just like the Betamax,VHS, DVD,BluRay.. so on.

Anyone who saw Up should know that 3-D can be used as more than a gimmick. I don't remember seeing a single object fly at my face. It was more like looking into a window, with the 3-D having depth. I saw a character walk from the background to the foreground and actually looked like they were moving through a space. It was about as perfect as I can imagine. If they want to do Marvel movies this way, I'm all for it! Now all they have to do is work on the ticket price...
