Ok. Here we go. Now, If anyone hates these, don't kill me. These are just my opinion, as I know you all have your own.

Number 5. Batman Begins. Ok, so the trilogy was a big flop, but Begins was well directed, and the actors for the villains were very good for their roles.

Number 4. The Amazing Spider-Man. Now a lot of you had problems with this movie. I ca kinda understand why, but I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to 2.

Number 3. You just can't go wrong with Iron Man. Well directed, amazing actors. A classic Iron Man origin story.

Number 2. Thor. What can I say? An amazing film.

And Number 1 is.... The Avengers! The best actors for their roles, directed amazingly, and good writing. Sure it had a couple of plot holes, but hey, every film does.

Well Doom, I don't think any of my films are better than The Avengers. Besides, I had the leading role, which makes it ok.

Are you saying its your opinion that the Dark Knight Trilogy was a big flop?

You lost all relevance by putting Batman Begins below TASM, and calling the Dark Knight trilogy a “big flop”.

TAS is one this list and he called the Dark Knight Trilogy a big flop (even if you hate the movies, only someone who went full retard would call it a big flop). The author's opinions are invalid and apparently lives in a fantasy world as opposed to the real one.

Nolan's Batman trilogy was a big flop?? Not sure if yore being a troll or honestly feel that way. Because that's not true. All 3 films received great praise and were highly rated so I don't have a clue where you got that from.

Sorry man, but Thor was complete crap. It didn't even follow the premise it set for itself, was filled with unfunny humor, as well as cheesy CGI, terrible performance from Portman, meh action except for a few scenes. Hemsworth was okay I guess. Hiddleston saved it from being as bad as Green Lantern.

As for TASM, I will say this it was FAR better than Thor. I just don't get the big deal about TASM, people make it out like its Dark Knight or something when it's really not even close. Multiple things that make no sense, decent action, below average storyline because there wasn't really a message. There was a hint at a message here and there, but he didn't really learn anything by the end of the film. He's just as irresponsible....so it doesn't make sense.

As for my top 5:

1. Dark Knight
2. Iron Man
3. Batman Begins
4. Spider-Man 2
5. Incredible Hulk

Dark Knight Rises WAS a good film, TASM wasn't terrible IMO. But I would say at BEST it's just above average.

@Levi: How did TASM try to copy Batman Begins or any film in the only successful film trilogy Warner Bros put out in their DC films? If that's the case then Warner Bros is gonna suck at trying to copy Marvel's success by putting out a DC Cinematic Universe. Especially if Snyder directs Justice League. Yea. Truth hurts buddy.

As for my favorite comicbook movies. It would have to be.

5: X-Men: First Class (It tends to go between top five and top ten)
4: Iron Man
3: The Amazing Spider-Man
2: Captain America: The First Avengers
1: Marvel's The Avengers

Ranking the MCU minus Iron Man 3, should be seeing it this weekend.

6: Iron Man 2
5: The Incredible Hulk
4: Thor
3: Iron Man
2: Captain America: The First Avenger
1: Marvel's The Avengers

All of them have their flaws and hiccups like any other film. But, not a single movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far that's been less than good. Sorry Levi, Snyder is just Warner Bros hopefull replacement for Nolan cause they want to put everything on one film maker instead of doing the Marvel thing to do and have diversity :p Also, here's something to help cheer you up.

They should totally be the band they go to for all their movies. Redlight King + Marvel = Amazing. It's good, quality music with Marvelous, epic movies. What more could you want? :p

Guys, The Dark Knight Trilogy was not a flop to many fans. It did make a lot of money. Remember, this is my Opinion. According to all the comics, The film series was not very accurate.

"not a single one has been anything less than good"
Thor sucked really, really bad. But I agree about the rest, I liked Iron Man 2 even.

@Fenix: I thought Thor was really, really good. The only flaw that stands out is the romance.
GuardianDevil

@Crossbones
Idk man, I guess that's your opinion. But, I thought it was garbage. There was one at best two cool action scenes, Thor vs Frost Giants. And then depowered Thor vs SHIELD agents. The rest sucked, or had cheesy CGI.

There were multiple unfunny attempts at humor, as well as a really corny romance between an okay performance (Hemsworth) and a bad one (Portman). The film didn't even follow the premise it set for itself, that when Thor learned humility he'd get his power back. But, after he stood up for his friends to save their lives. THAT was when he got his power back, he didn't even learn humility he learned how to stick up for a friend. It didn't even follow the story line that it set up for itself.

Worst film of the MCU so far IMHO.

@Levi: Yours don't matter much here either then considering you're all over Snyder as bad as a Nolanite is over Nolan.

You can't speak in certainties and have it be your opinion. Seriously sometimes I wonder if any of the people writing editorials have taken a basic writing class.

You can not say the Dark Knight Trilogy was a "big flop" when the facts completely dispel that complete full retard, asinine comment. It no longer becomes your opinion at that point. Also it didn't make a lot of money, it also won Oscars and received universal critical acclaim. I understand a lot of people around here have a hard on for anything Marvel, but you can't dismiss somethings popularity with the majority, nor project your opinion onto people. It is what it is, a commercial, critical and highly acclaimed trilogy.

How that should have been written was: Despite it's critical and commercial acclaim the Dark Knight Trilogy to me was a flop.

Now having said that your top 5 is garbage outside of Iron Man, The Avengers and possibly Batman Begins. However based on this top 5 I'm going to conclude you are around 17 therefore lack taste in actual cinema. Hence why Thor is your number one.

Now crossbones who are you to call someone out when you basically cum in your pants for anything Marvel. Seriously it wouldn't surprise me if the mere thought of Joss Whedon gives you an uncontrollable urge to jack off.

X-Men First class was an awesome film though I'll give you that.

I'd only consider Thor on there because of Tom Hiddleston, but apart from that, it felt like Kenneth Branagh forgot what he was doing. Which is a shame, because his Hamlet is my favorite interpretation, and one of the best Shakespearean adaptations ever made.

Batman Begins is a good choice though. I lost a lot of respect for Nolan afterwards, but at the time, he could do no wrong. It was a great movie that might have suffered from Katie Holmes - or Rachel Dawes, but otherwise, I consider it definitive.

Watchmen is a big favorite of mine - it might have benefited from some less wooden actors and some changed dialogue to allow said actors to not appear wooden, but overall it was extremely faithful, featured an excellent soundtrack, awesome action, was VERY atmospheric.... a better Watchmen adaptation couldn't be made.

X2 deserves it's praise. It had you rooting for the Brotherhood not long in, it gave Mystique a good hands-on approach, it adapted God Loves, Man Kills (really the first time Marvel incorporated an 80s storyline to the point of being very identifiable) merged it with the beginnings of the Dark Phoenix Saga, and spoke volumes for minorities and gay rights. Acting was superb, effects were awesome, fights were well choreographed - there's no shortage of entertainment there.

It may not TRULY be a comic book movie, considering the comics were only there for a VERY short time, and were published just to make money off of the book's popularity... but the latest Les Miserables musical deserves an honorable mention at the least. Probably the only thing I didn't like was the camera angles - they felt a bit amateur, and Russell Crowe ACTUALLY is a good singer, but the lyrics weren't suited for his voice. Even if you don't like musicals, this one is powerful, will stir you on. Also worth noting is that Hugh Jackman's character, Jean Valjean, is the archetypal superhero - carrying a great deal of influence on the genre along with the other prominent 19th century character Sherlock Holmes.

How?

@LoveDoc. In the ways that It was not quite true to the comics, and that it does not fit in with the same universe as Man of Steel and/or Green Lantern.

"LoveDoc. In the ways that It was not quite true to the comics, and that it does not fit in with the same universe as Man of Steel and/or Green Lantern."

Dude, stop going full retard. You just said you wanted the films to exist in the same universe as Green Lantern. Considering Nolan's trilogy borrowed from Year One, The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, the Man who Smiles, Cataclysm, No Man's Land, The Dark Knight Returns, Knightfall etc. I don't understand why people bitch about it not following the comics closely. TAS doesn't follow the comics closely, nor do half of the movies we get. I would be willing to bet that Nolan's trilogy used more comic book storylines for inspiration than any all of the Marvel films combined.

Please don't tell me you are one to bitch about Bane and Nolan "not following the comics" but you are okay with The Mandarin and "Whiplash" in Iron man 2 and 3.

Lastly in regards to your liberal use of the word flop:

Who gives a shit what other people think? The only opinion that should matter to anyone is there own. If he like TASM more than batman begins, so what? It's his opinion and while I don't really agree with it I can't say he's wrong, it's his opinion. Why do people feel the need to attack/take the piss out of people over what they think?
