I thought of doing a top 10 comic book movie stoners in honor of 420 this year. I came up with 3 right off the bat, then I hit a major wall. I couldn't name 10! I could barely name 5 legitimate comic book movie characters.

When I got home from work I Googled the topic, hoping to find a smiliar list online. I couldn't find anything! All I found was top 10 stoner movies and they're pretty much all the same movies you've seen a million times. Oh, look Dazed & Confused made ANOTHER movie list! Fun. After a while I was frustrated, so I smoked a bowl and the rest of the night was kind of a blur...

I'll consider this more of an open-ended post. If anyone has better suggestions feel free to leave them in the comments box and I'll definitely add them later.

UPDATE: It took me a while to get around to it, but I have changed the top 5 into the top 10! Thanks to everyone who sent me suggestions, they were all really helpful.

10. Popeye

That wasn't just spinach he was injesting or tobacco he was smoking. Popeye LOOOOOVED the Mary Jane!

9. Wolverine

Although he might prefer cigars and beer as his crutch, this Canadian mutant more than likely indulged in the reefer madness. He spent a good chunk of his young life in British Columbia, a province famous for it's ganga. The comic couldn't cover that sort of thing, especially back in the day... but you know he was all over it.

How do you think he could tolerate living in the wilderness? He was baked! That's how. Why do you think Wolverine tolerated James Hudson? It' because he grew the best sh*t. That's why!

Don't tell Department H...

8. Jughead Jones

With his burned out gaze and insatiable appetite for munchies, Jughead had to keep his weed addiction under wraps from the others at Riverdale High. Archie was too busy getting laid to care anyways.

I'm also pretty sure Jughead is a homosexual, but that's another post for another time.

7. Red Mist

I don't know much about this character other than he smokes pot because I haven't seen the movie or read the comics, yet. I will though! I'll get that sh*t done though! I finished this... sorta.

6. John Constantine

Constantine was a part of the whole punk rock/San Francisco scene back in the 1970's. Must I go further? The man smokes as if his life depends on it.

5. Shaggy

I wasn't sure about using Shaggy because he wasn't originally a comic book character, but that doesn't matter. He's now in both mediums, so I figure what the hey! He's been smokin' since the 1960's. Why not have him on the list?

This clip is from Harvey Birdman. Another show to watch while you're baked.

4. Fritz the Cat

Much like Shaggy and Constantine, this anthropomorphic feline was raiased in the 60's and 70's. He was all about free love, drugs and music... but it was mostly about getting tail. Pun intended.

3. Afro Samurai

Much like Red Mist, smoking a joint before a battle relaxes him. Except Afro's got some bad ass moves.

2. The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers

Phineas, Freddy and Franklin are three lazy hippies from the 60's. They take large quantities of drugs and alcohol then delve into madcap hijinx.

1. Bluntman & Chronic

Although their alter egos, Jay & Silent Bob may have replaced marijuana with religion in Clerks II, I gotta say their pot-themed costumes are effin' epic! Plus, they're brief cameo in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back so they total qualify as CBM characters. For that, I give them the number one spot.
