It's been quite a while since we had any new information on the movie Priest starring Paul Bettany. Well today we have a brand new trailer for the film.

Here is a brief film synopsis from Screen Gems...

PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set in an alternate world -- one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on a quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend, a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

Priest directed by Scott Charles Stewart also stars Cam Giganet, Karl Urban and Christopher Plummer. It is set to hit theaters May 13, 2011.

trust me this takes "loose" adaption to a whole new level they could have easily adapted the source material but definitely looks good though

I can't even bring myself to complain about the changes made in other comic book movies after seeing this. Barackapool seems so insignificant in comparison.

Could still be good though, if I separate it from the source material completely.

I was excited for this film until I watched the first trailer and the delays started hitting. Watching this has raised the excitement level again. This looks pretty damn good.

Looks like pretty cool action movie. A lot lot better than Legion! Bettany is awesome!

@marvel72 exactly it's totally different from the manga, which I though would have been easily done in live action.

It still looks good but very different but I guess that could work in its favour, I mean they turned RED in to action-comedy and that was pretty enjoyable.

I liked Legion and I never read Priest but the movie look good fun to me, of course I don't need an absolute perfect film to be entertained.
