@Xenix Not unless they release it in 2014. If Reynolds will be filming RIPD all of next year, he'll still probably be open for GL2 (unless they decide to release Deadpool in 2013 as well).

@xenix

why? people can be in more than one movie in a given year. Reynolds made 2 for 2011.

Looking at his filmography list, his best movie was Smoking Aces. Everything else sucked. I don't understand how this guy became an A-lister. He's supporting actor material, all the way.

ryan reynolds is awesome. hes my favorite actor. i liked Van Wilder, Waiting, Smoking Aces, Just Friends and most of his other movies. I think he was really good in xmen origin wolverine. Hes a really good actor overall. Also, i heard that he didnt play deadpool but only wade wilson in xmen origins.

Mid-2013 seems like enough time for Reynolds to fit in Deadpool before this.

Stupid.

He should make deadpool already'

He's going to have to avoid being a superhero for awhile after the GL fiasco. Although Deadpool would be awesome, I got a feeling Mr. Reynolds might be a little gunshy. If Jeff Bridges is attached it should be pretty good. Bad Blake. The Dude. Yep.

Who's directing this? Reynolds is alright i think he done his best with a very poorly constructed script for GL.
AC1
AC1 - 6/25/2011, 4:32 AM
I don't think everyone should be so quick to blame Ryan's acting. When an actor signs for a movie, they generally look at the first draft of the script. Once their name is signed on the dotted line, they are contractually obliged to star in the role they agreed on. Then, when the studios get involved and make pointless edits of the script, the actor is forced to play the role how they're told, even if they know it's wrong.

Ryan Reynolds, in both X-Men Origins and (even more so) in Green Lantern did the best that he could with the material he was given. As it is, Ryan only really played the pre-Weapon XI Wade, and he did it damn well for what it's worth. As for the few close-up shots he did of Weapon XI, that's because he was contracted to, not necessarily because he wanted to portray the character in that way. And I think we can all agree that most of the acting in GL was fine, but the script and poor editing brought it all down.

Do Deadpool already!!!!

I have no problems with Ryan Reynolds being in this I just hope it doesn't stop him from doing the Deadpool movie, it's the one character he was born to play and the script is awesome and couldn't see anyone else filling those little red boots.

Good. Now can we get Deadpool on track now? We've been waiting long enough. Hopefully RR will realize that RIPD will suck and drop it so that Deadpool can be made, and it will be EPIC.
