Actress Sarah T. Cohen is involved with a lot of projects which are going to be releasing soon. The first film on the list is HellKat, a horror movie with MMA elements that focuses on a tournament in Hell.
Beyond that, it sounds like Cohen plans to stay in the horror/sci-fi wheelhouse, as she detailed her upcoming roles during our recent interview with the actress. Several horror movies will showcase her talents in the near future, such as The Gardener and Deadly Waters.
Before filming with CGI sharks, Cohen shot Jurassic Island, another project set for release very soon. We learned what her experience was like filming with dinosaurs that aren't there, in contrast with the prosthetics work on the monsters she faces in HellKat.
Listen to Sarah tell us about Jurassic Island below with this portion of the transcript included.
"I filmed Jurassic Island, and I'm really intrigued to see that one. I love working with Proportion Productions because they give me the potential to play characters that I would never get to play in any other realm. They really allow me to, and they push me. So the character in Jurassic Island is an army girl, so it's a strong character. She is the lead, which is also great, and she's trying to save her father, who's gone missing on this Island, and her grandfather had gone missing on the same Island. I think that's probably what I can do without spoilers. Again, I had a really awesome role in that.
I've never worked with CGI before, where there's going to be CGI in a movie because we were going to film a shark movie in March at the same time as the dinosaur one, which would also be a CGI one. But because we didn't do either of those, this is the first time I'd ever worked in that way. And so there was a green screen now and again. So they'd pop the screen up and be like, 'this is where it's gotta be,' and they hold it on there. But then they turn around to you. And I remember there was one bit where cause you need the same eye line as the other actor. Otherwise, it looks like you're looking at two different dinosaurs. So I remember I was with the other actor, and we were like, where do you want the eye-line to be? And we were like, 'okay, this leaf is the dinosaur now.' And we just both had to be looking at the same leaf."
If you like what Sarah has to say, we've also included a couple of our other chats in which we discuss her upcoming projects, HellKat, Deadly Waters, and The Gardener. Be sure to check out the trailer and synopsis for Hellkat and share your thoughts in the usual spot!
