While many, including myself, were expecting a Thanksgiving Day release, it appears as though we'll have to wait just a little bit longer to get our first look at Universal's highly anticipated Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
According to the good folks at @dirtees, who over this past week attended Brand Licensing Europe 2017 and were present during the Universal Pictures presentation on Wednesday, the first teaser trailer for J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will arrive on December 13 and will then be attached to screenings of Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, starting that same weekend.
Now, while that aforementioned date is, of course, subject to change as big trailers do tend to be released online a tad earlier than their intended theatrical launch dates, it does make sense that arguably the biggest film of 2018 would want to debut its first look with arguably the biggest film on the 2017 calendar. This will also kickstart a lengthy six-month marketing campaign as the studio prepares us for the sequel to one of the biggest blockbusters of all-time.
Regardless, stay tuned into CBM and/or my Twitter for all your breaking Jurassic World updates as they happen.
