Apparently The 'Hutts' Will Appear In STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS
In his latest Star Wars column, Dave Gonzalez reveals some new details on J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens. According to him, the intergalactic gangsters known as the Hutts (as in, Jabba the) will factor into the plot in some capacity. Click on for more...
We know Jabba the Hutt met his end at the hands (and chain) of "slave Leia" in Return of the Jedi, but he wasn't the only slimy piece of worm-ridden filth in the galaxy. Some of his fellow Hutts were glimpsed in The Phantom Menace, and have been a part of various Expanded Universe novels, animated series, comics etc over the years, and now it seems we'll be meeting them again in J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens. According to Dave Gonzalez of Latino Review, these Hutts are being practically built for the movie just like Jabba was for ROTJ, and although he doesn't know how many will feature, it'll definitely be "more than one". As for how they'll factor into the story, all speculation is welcome -- though some very early concept art did depict Leia meeting with the Hutts, possibly to explain why she murdered one of 'em! Could that be what we see in December when The Force Awakens hist theaters? Share your thoughts in the usual place, and be sure to click the link below for some more Star Wars related tidbits.
