EW has shared a look at their latest cover, which features the younger incarnations of Han Solo and Chewbacca we'll be introduced to in Ron Howard's Solo: A Star Wars Story in just a few months time.

The trade is holding off on spilling too many details until later in the week, but they do confirm some plot elements.

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Character Posters Spotlight Han, Chewbacca, Lando And Qi-Ra

It seems the burgeoning space-smuggler is going to have to prove himself to his new criminal colleagues (hence the train/Conveyex heist sequence glimpsed in the trailer), forming bonds/facing off with the likes of Qi'Ra (Emilia Clarke), Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson), Val (Thandie Newton), and the villainous Dryden Vos (Paul Bettany) along the way.

Of course, he'll also encounter Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and the one-and-only Chewbacca.

"He might be a little more immature, he may be a little less experienced, and he may hone his cynicism over time, but he’s very wary,” says Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy. “He needs to gain the respect of the people he interacts with, even if they’re the lowest of the low.”

Love the trailer but Alden still hasn't got sold on being Han but he's suppose to be a younger Han so we'll have to wait and see.

Ugh. He just looks so...stupid. Definitely in no rush to see this. Maybe in theaters, in like the 4th week. Maybe.

Any news on Ewan McGregor cast as Obi-Wan again for a solo movie?

I still wish they had cast Ansel Elgort. He looks like a younger Han and has the charisma. Watching Baby Driver sold me on him. Really wish they would have recasted Aldrech instead of replacing the directors.

@TheRaven20 - Alden is a far better actor.

@BreakTheCode - I completely disagree that he is a "far better actor" though that doesn't mean I think Alden is a bad actor. Ansel is just as capable of an actor and I don't think Alden has the ability to channel a young Harrison Ford, which is honestly what you need someone to do.

All his lines in the trailer fell flat and none exuded the confidence and snarkiness of Han. I know it's just a teaser trailer, but I'm just not sold on Alden yet.

@TheRaven20 - Go watch Hail Ceaser or Rules Don’t Apply. Alden really shines in those flicks.

I hope we see how he got his chin scar. I mean other than when he accidentally used his whip on his own face...

But since the female characters are far more important in these Disney's SW products, how can this Solo character have any significance?

And the way Chewbacca was treated in the LJ, my guess is that now Chewy is really going to be treated as a walking carpet.

He's miscast.
