Ask yourself what makes Star Trek so appealing? Eugene Roddenberry explores his father’s past to understand the MAN that people call a “VISIONARY”! He comes to know his father better after his death & all his fathers faults. He has interviewed big names like George Lucas, Stan Lee, Dennis Rodman, Rick Berman & many others. This isn’t the typical Trekkies documentary that has been done twice. This goes all out to take a look @ all aspects of Star Trek & its appeal. The best way I can describe Star Trek is as follows: “Gene Roddenberry took Dr. King’s I have a Dream Speech & made it believable. “Inspired humanity to believe in a better future.” A future where poverty, disease, hunger, intolerance no longer exist. It's possible and I truly believe in this. No distribution date yet.

i have liked star wars and star trek but in star wars i hate the light saber thing theoretically it is possible but one mistake and your hand is gone plus it would take a lot of strength to cut threw metal it wouldn't just slide threw like you were cutting butter and i don't think it would stay in a stick format it would probably go everywhere

well i've always been a Force addict but to be honest i watched the new star trek movie (mostly because of abraams) and i really liked it. after that i downloaded the original star trek series and i think i will give it a shot. i remember watching some episodes as a kid on tv on reruns and i found it boring. but after the new movie i will watch the original and maybe next generation along with movies of course.

I like both Star Wars and Star Trek.

I enjoyed the original show, but completely fell in love with TNG! I love the philosophy and hope my great-great-great grandchildren will live to see a world that emulates our society as depicted in the show.

Thanks for sharing this article with us Spock. I will definitely be looking forward to watching Trek Nation. To not watch it, I believe would be most illogical ;-)

I've love both Trek and Wars since I was a kid. Making me choose which one is better is like asking me which kid is my favorite. By the way it's Wars and my second child.

the thing i find most interesting about Star Trek is the fact that if Earth and Humanity survive long enough, then i can totally see our civilization becoming much like it is in Star Trek. I don't know about all the different alien races and everything else involved in Star Trek, but i can definately see us having space stations, and starships exploring the universe on the same scale we see in the show. its only a matter of time, and if we can survive long enough!
