Latest EDGE OF TOMORROW Featurette Puts A Spotlight On The Terrifying Mimics

Even though Doug Liman's critically acclaimed Edge Of Tomorrow, which starred Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt in the lead roles, hit theaters over a year ago, we've seen quite a few sweet new behind-the-scenes featurettes pop up over the past few months. A few days ago, Sony Imageworks VFX released possibly their most interesting video yet, this one taking an in-depth look at the film's menacing villains, the Mimics!

Watch it below and learn how the these brilliantly terrifying beasts came to be:

Oscar nominee Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," under the direction of Doug Liman. The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow features:
Director: Doug Liman
Tom Cruise as Lt. Col. William "Bill" Cage
Emily Blunt as Sergeant Rita Rose Vrataski
Bill Paxton as Master Sergeant Farrell
Brendan Gleeson as General Brigham
Kick Gurry as Griff
Dragomir Mrsic as Kuntz
Charlotte Riley as Nance
Jonas Armstrong as Skinner
Franz Drameh as Ford
Masayoshi Haneda as Takeda
Tony Way as Kimmel
Noah Taylor as Dr. Carter

Edge Of Tomorrow is out on Blu-ray/DVD NOW!

Still confused by the ending maybe they should do a featurette (not a real word by the way) explaining the ending

@KingPatel - "Haha, every Helena scene last night killed. Wanted the fight to be a bit longer, but it was mad effective."

Helena steals scenes. I loled at "hello, Jesse Towing."

"Overall, I thought the finale was great, meant to get some sort of discussion/season 4 preview article up last night, but got caught up somewhere else. I'll see if I can find the time to get something up tomorrow, I'm sure some people will want to talk about it."

Honestly, I need to watch it again because there was as much closure as there was new doors opening. There really was a lot that went on last night. I think I liked this season finale better than last. But I'll save the rest of my comments/thoughts until you get that post up. hahaha

Started watching the newest Planet of the Apes movie, with the free HBO and Cinemax, and was bored 5 to death 5 minutes in. Watched Tomorrow instead, and wasn't bored even one second.

Live. Die. Repeat. is not a movie you can just pick up in the middle. You need to watch it from the beginning.
