The main dinosaur look very Godzilla -ish and the radar pins that Warner bros used on Godzilla's trailer are found on jpw's trailers Coincidence I think not...

Ignoring 2 & 3 is a stupid idea. Lost World was fantastic and 3 just didn't live up to the legacy.

One fact that seems to be overlooked often is the similarity with Jurassic Park to one of Michael Crichton's other stories, Westworld.

If you haven't seen Westworld I highly recommend finding it. It's Yul Brenner's last film and is a fantasy world amusement park that goes haywire. There are threee main areas: Roman World, Medieval World, and West World. Also of comic book related note this movie stars the voice of The Mad Titan's father, James Brolin.

This is one of my favorite campy 70's sci-fi movies. Anyone else seen this?

Someday I wish to see Pelucidar adapted.

I would also like to see a good adaptation of the actual Dintopia books but I don't think Hollywood can comprehend a world where the majority of the inhabitants are not at conflict with each other and coexist in a delicate system of community. Even if there are a fair amount of good adventures.

@ScionStorm-
I agree but Hollywood's record at adapting ERB isn't good.
I would love to see a franchise of faithful adaptations of Tarzan as well. Those were good books and there was one invloving Pellucidar. Most people never get past the origin story but many had an Indiana Jones vibe to them with lost empires and peoples.
