It seems that Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn's confidence in Chris Pratt becoming the 'next big movie star' is coming to be true as the Star-Lord actor has been eyed for Jurassic World. According to The Wrap, Pratt is in "very early discussions" to play a lead character in Universal’s Jurassic Park sequel. However, if NBC's Parks and Recreation gets renewed for another season, his role on the TV series could cause scheduling issues. But if Pratt accepts, he'll join Ty Simpkins, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson as well as Indian actor Irrfan Khan (The Amazing Spider-Man, Life of Pi), who's been offered a supporting role in the film. Anyhow, Jurassic World is directed by Colin Trevorrow, produced by Steven Spielberg, and is scheduled for release on June 12, 2015!

UPDATE: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bryce Dallas Howard's character is a "smart corporate scientist," while Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson will play her nephews. And Chris Pratt's role is "a rugged ex-military man," who Josh Brolin was initially in talks for. What do you think?

Guys hysterical and he was a bad-ass in Zero Dark Thirty.

I don't know much about GoTG other than what I read on here, but I think he's going to totally kill it.

"Rugged Ex-Military Man" Sounds like if Pratt gets the role he will have to get back into shape, and he just gained back the Andy weight. DAMN IT ALL!!! haha Oh well if he is in this film I might actually go see it.

@ezio I'd say RDJr any day of the week bro. I mean, Chris Evans is a pretty good cast, but I feel like Chris Hemsworth's Thor is only as good as his antagonist in the films like Loki, who is brilliantly casted.

James Gunn was prophetic in casting Pratt in GOTG. I foresee that come 2015 (or sooner) Pratt will be a big name actor. I see Marvel doing the same things for him that they did for a Chris Hemsworth.

Almight -i am more of amarvel studios fans because they keep the spirit of the comics in their movies,i have not diliked one of their films, iron man 2 was alright, iron man was great, iron man 3 is really good imo, captain america TFA is maybe my favorite phase 1 solo movie,i really liked thor,i like thor the dark world but not more then the first one, incredible hulk was good too but i can appreciate both tones of dc and marvel but apprently some people cant, thats sad

Almight-yep and maybe some people just prefer more serious toned stuff which is fine, talking about the superhero films of this year,i felt that this was a year for us to just get our standard superhero fix and while i enjoyed all 4,i can some of the complaints people have against iron man 3,i can understand peoples complaints on man of steel, the wolverine and thor aswell, none of them were amazing but i really enjoyed all of them cause as a MOVIE,i thought their strengths outweighed their weaknesses for me,but hopefully next year is even more awesome,my two most anticipated are cap and guardians ,i am looking forward to spidey and xmen ,i think cap is gonna be quite good and i think guardians is gonna be the kind of movie either people are gonna dig or not but i hope its realllllllllly good,i realllly want it to be good,im gonna be real sad if its not!
