Though we unfortunately don't have a first look at the sets (the movie is still shrouded in secrecy for the most part after all), Universal Partnerships & Licensing have announced that they are teaming up with The LEGO Group to release minifgures based on Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World. They will be available from May 2015, roughly a month before the release of the follow up to the beloved franchise created by Steven Spielberg hits the big screen. "Jurassic Park defined dinosaurs for an entire generation 20 years ago, and Jurassic World will do the same in 2015," Universal Partnerships & Licensing President Stephanie Sperber said in a statement. "Working with LEGO Group to bring this classic into the present in dynamic and exciting ways is truly thrilling." The LEGO Group's Jill Wilfert adds, "We are thrilled to be a part of the groundbreaking Jurassic Park series. The film’s imagery and branding are iconic, with a rich array of landscapes, vehicles and dinosaurs that are perfect for inspiring a line of building sets that will encourage hours of creative play." Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus and Andy Buckley, Jurassic World is set to be released in 3D, 2D and IMAX on June 12th, 2015.

Forget cbms, Jurassic Park is greater than most other movies, period. It's a relatively faithful adaptation of the source material, the mix of CGI and practical effects makes it hold up VERY well 20 years later, each human character got their own story and character arc and moment to shine, and John Williams' score is unparalleled.

Jurassic World has a ridiculously tall hill to climb if it wants to be the defining dinosaur movie for an entirely new generation like the press release claims...but I got high hopes!

@SauronsBANE

It's actually better than the source material imo. The characters are better and it has the advantage of groundbreaking visuals and score that evoke a sense of wonder. I have high hopes for this movie as well. There's so much untapped potential in the franchise as far as prehistoric creatures go. We've never seen an under water dinosaur to name one.

@Dingbat Eh, I think that's debatable. There's certainly large parts of the movie that I love far more than the book (the characterization of John Hammond as a lovable grandpa who's just happens to have a lot of character flaws, for one), but I definitely wish the movie had stayed as scientifically-driven as Michael Crichton's book was.

But yeah I totally agree, there's TONS of potential stuff out there that are completely untouched, and just sitting there ripe for the pickin'! It definitely sounds like Jurassic World is going to be branch out and use as much of that untapped potential as possible, and that makes me really excited.
