It's long been known that the unreleased three-hour first cut of 1997's Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie featured a romance between original Mighty Morphin teammates Jason Lee Scott, played by Austin St. John, and Kimberly Ann Hart, played by Amy Jo Johnson. However, for reasons unknown to this day, that subplot was scrapped (along with a number of other things) in favor of the 99-minute theatrical cut, which received a less-than-warm reception from critics and fans, alike.

Luckily for fans of the original Red and Pink Rangers, it looks like the upcoming reboot, which hits theaters in two weeks, will attempt to reintroduce that subplot by romantically pairing the characters' updated iterations, now played by Dacre Montgomery and Naomi Scott. We get a look at the pair in this latest clip from the movie as they chat about their futures in Angel Grove and plan an impromptu trip.

Check out the new clip below:

Plus, here are two action-packed new TV spots, featuring some great new footage:

And, here are sixteen new stills, courtesy of Lionsgate, RangerCrew , and the Angry Asian Man blog:

Oh. Oh dear. That clip was really bad. Fingers crossed, still.

@Boyle360 - I thought the same thing for the first few lines, then I realized how good Naomi Scott was at delivering her lines as the popular girl. Even though the movie shows her as an outsider, she clearly used to be a popular girl and it shows by the way she speaks. I'm down for this

@phuckyou - Especially impressive since she's British...

@r3negade - Faking accents isn't that impressive though, especially American ones.

I thought Hollywood was supposed to be getting over the trend of obviously mid-twenties looking teens?

Legitimately excited for this.

Hi all,

I'm the new troll moderator.

If you spot anything suspicious that looks like a troll then just @me.

I'll be looking to clean this place up from the recent upturn in troll behaviour.

I hope this movie is at least moderately good. Doesn't need to be ground-breaking, just serviceable. I would be happy with a 70% RT score. It's funny because this has been my most anticipated movie this year up to this point and its most likely going to be just average. Nostalgia is a bitch.

I watched the first episode of the old show just for giggles, and while the high school stuff is cheesy as all hell, I'm not gonna lie, once the Rangers get into action and summon their Zords while the theme song plays I had the stupidest grin on my face.
it's similar to watching, say, The Flash, you get through all the cheese and humor for those 10/15 minutes of cool action stuff.

@Spidey91 - rewatched, I should say, this was my sh*t when I was kid.

Should've had the teens as new people entirely instead of re-imagining the originals. That could've work. They wanted something new, that's new. Oh well. Bring on Cyber Squad.

Unfortunately, nothing about this movie has me excited, and only Elizabeth Banks has me mildly interested.
