Premiere Date For Season 3 Of HUMANS Revealed Along With New Promo Photos And A Synopsis
After a long wait, a release date for season 3 of Channel 4 and AMC's Humans has finally been set, and to celebrate the announcement new images have been released featuring new and returning characters...
It’s been a year since Channel 4 and AMC aired season two of their sci-fi drama Humans, and fans of the series have been waiting patiently for an announcement of when they can expect to watch season 3. Fortunately, they won’t have to wait too long, as the series will be airing on AMC on June 5. An exact date for the Channel 4 premiere, however, is unknown, but it is currently set to air in May.
Also, while specifics on what season 3 will feature are scarce, two new images have been released highlighting both new and old characters. The first is the banner above which focuses on the charracters returning this season: Mia (Gemma Chan), Laura (Katherine Parkinson), Niska (Emily Berrington), Leo (Colin Morgan), and Max (Ivanno Jeremiah). Though it’s a rather standard image of the cast, it is good to know that Leo seemingly recovers from the wound he incurred in last season’s finale.
As for the second image seen below, we get a new look of Gemma Chan’s Mia and Ivanno Jeremiah’s Max, alongside a large group of new of synths, reminding us how large of an impact last season's final is going to have when the show premieres in June. The photo also sees Mia finally reunited with her brother Max after spending most of last season apart.
Finally, to cap off this string of news, AMC released a synopsis, which once again lets us know that this season will be focused on how the world and our protagonists deal with the newly awakened synths a year after the conclusion of season 2:
One year after the dawn of consciousness, a decimated and oppressed Synth population fights to survive in a world that hates and fears them. In a divided Britain, Synths and humans struggle to broker an uneasy peace, but when fractures within the Synth community start to appear, all hope of stability is threatened. Set against the maelstrom of political chaos, the ethical complexities of the dawn of a new species play out across a thrilling multi-stranded narrative. As the Synth family, Mia (Chan), Niska (Berrington) and Max (Jeremiah) continue to battle for their right to survival, Joe (Goodman-Hill) Laura (Parkinson) and their children Mattie (Lucy Carless), Toby (Theo Stevenson) and Sophie (Pixie Davies) struggle to come to terms with the cataclysmic events of last season.
