Peter Weller Drops Some Hints About His Role In STAR TREK Sequel

The original Robocop doesn't give away much, but adding what he does say to what we already know about his mysterious character makes things even more intriguing..

Trekmovie caught up with Weller on the red carpet of the RoboCop 25th Anniversary event for the Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF) and asked the sci-fi veteran about his role in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel. When asked whether he would be donning prosthetics to play some sort of alien, the actor replied..

“No. do I look like an alien to you? No man. Let me put it this way. I have my own ship"

Weller then produced a picture of his seven-month-old baby boy sitting in the Captain’s chair on the bridge of a starship. Apparently it was hard to make out too much from it, but it looked very similar to the bridge of the Enterprise - which at least implies it is a Federation vessel. But looking back at what was already revealed about Weller's character (“it’s a substantial role and… Peter is playing a C.E.O.”), a C.E.O. with his own ship does seem strange for the Star Trek universe. I'm a bit behind on my Trek canon and have no idea if this sounds like an already established character, but Trekmovie have a few very interesting theories so click the link below to check em out.
