FAN MADE: Trailer For STAR WARS: INTO DARKNESS

FAN MADE: Trailer For STAR WARS: INTO DARKNESS

Here is a very nicely put-together fan trailer, which combines the audio (and tone) from the trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness with imagery from the original Star Wars trilogy. An idea of what a slightly darker Abrams directed Episode VII might look like perhaps?

That's probably only going to be the first of many of these type of vids but I liked it a lot. Although there is a contingent of fans who feel having Abrams at the helm of both "Star" franchises is a big mistake, it didn't seem reflected in our recent poll on the matter. With 183 votes, almost 40% of you felt that the director was a "Good choice. He successfully rebooted Star Trek, so why not Star Wars?". That wasn't the most positive option ("Couldn't be happier, he's the perfect man for the job.") which picked up almost 30% of the votes, but I think it's fair to say the majority of CBMers at least are on board.

That was actually pretty damn good. The only thing kind of jarring about it was Yoda's voice. It just sounded...off for some reason.

Other than that, I liked it.

BTW Abrams is still the wrong damn choice to direct.

looks great, but that has a lot to do with the fact that it is the original trilogy. I thought JJ did great with the Star Trek reboot, but i'd much rather see a different person taking over star wars. I was really hoping for Affleck with a kevin smith script. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is really good

I second that Starlight! I hope they do enough practical effects in SWe7 and knowing JJ he'll most likely wants to shoot it on film and hopefully... in IMAX as well!!!

It's funny hearing people complain about JJ Abrams being chosen. Because nobody who was chosen, people are gonna complain.

Disney announces Steven Spielberg: NO! He's not the same anymore, choose someone else.

Disney announces Christopher Nolan: NO! I don't want a realistic Star Wars!

Disney announces Jon Favreau: NO! He doesn't know how to do action and Cowboys and Aliens was terrible!

Disney announces Joss Whedon: NO! Your already doing The Avengers 2, JOSS!

Disney announces Ben Affleck: NO! He's never done a Sci Fi movie, and I certainly don't want him directing Star Wars.

Disney announces Michael Bay: NO! We'll get great and action and visuals...but NO story!

I could go on with this but I think you see my point.
