FAN MADE: Trailer For STAR WARS: INTO DARKNESS

Here is a very nicely put-together fan trailer, which combines the audio (and tone) from the trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness with imagery from the original Star Wars trilogy. An idea of what a slightly darker Abrams directed Episode VII might look like perhaps?

That's probably only going to be the first of many of these type of vids but I liked it a lot. Although there is a contingent of fans who feel having Abrams at the helm of both "Star" franchises is a big mistake, it didn't seem reflected in our recent poll on the matter. With 183 votes, almost 40% of you felt that the director was a "Good choice. He successfully rebooted Star Trek, so why not Star Wars?". That wasn't the most positive option ("Couldn't be happier, he's the perfect man for the job.") which picked up almost 30% of the votes, but I think it's fair to say the majority of CBMers at least are on board.
