Mark Hamill has revealed that he's known the official title for Episode VIII for quite some time, as director Rian Johnson revealed it during filming.  However, Hamill wished the Looper director had kept it too himself, since he's so bad at keeping secrets.  "He told me that when we were making the movie and I said, 'Don't tell me these things. I talk in my sleep,'" Hamill told the Associated Press.  he added,  "They have us so jacked up with paranoia over leaks. But that's the way of the world. It's funny 'cause back when we were making the original nobody cared."

As far as what he thinks of the title, Hamill likens it to something reminiscent of a Japanese swordsman film.  Are his thoughts on the title an actual clue to the tone and story of Episode VIII?  "It's got a real samurai [feel].  It's straightforward and minimalist, and I like that."

Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on December 15, 2017.  The first trailer is expected to arrive this spring.
