New STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI And THE FORCE AWAKENS Concept Art Focuses On DJ, Kylo Ren And Han Solo's Demise

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been an extremely divisive movie but it's honestly shocking that J.J. Abrams' work in The Force Awakens didn't split the fanbase even more! After all, the filmmaker killed off Han Solo in one of the franchise's most shocking scenes. Now, some concept art depicting that moment has popped up online and while it's obviously a few years old, it's never been seen before!

Also below is some artwork from The Last Jedi which shows alternate takes on DJ and a handful of other pivotal moments from the movie, including a battle between Luke Skywalker and Rey!

To see the full list of artwork, all you need to do is click on either one of the buttons below. Then, once you've done that be sure to let us know your thoughts on these pieces in the comments section.

A very different take on Kylo Ren, this version of Han Solo's death comes from when the villain - who we would later learn is actually Ben Solo - was still being referred to as the Jedi Killer.

This very cool shot of Finn, DJ, and Rose shows the trio in their First Order disguises with a squadron of Stormtroopers at their back. The hope is that this scene will wind up being on the Blu-ray!

There may not be a lightsaber duel as such in The Last Jedi but we did get to see Rey and Luke Skywalker clash on Ahch-To in a beautifully shot sequence which was based on this concept art.

An early version of Kylo Ren, the marking on the mask here are obviously yellow instead of silver, a minor change but one which undoubtedly would have been very different to see on screen.

Another take on Han Solo's death, it's clear that the plan was always for him to fall after being struck by his son's lightsaber. In this piece, Chewbacca can be seen watching his friend's death unfold.

Another very early piece of concept art, Kylo Ren looks a lot more like Darth Vader here (the plan was originally for him to dress as the villain to taunt Luke) while Han strikes a classic pose.

Various versions of "DJ" can be seen here and it's apparent that Guardians of the Galaxy star Benicio Del Toro is someone Lucasfilm always had in mind for this mysterious and enigmatic character.

Rey gets a new look at the end of The Force Awakens but the plan originally was going to be for her to rock a costume paying homage to her father figure, Han Solo. It works surprisingly well!

DJ (no, not "Dark Jedi" - it's actually a reference to the "Don't Join" motto he says and has on his hat) was at one point going to look a little more stylish based on what we see in this piece.

Another alternate take on DJ, you can see the process Lucasfilm went through starting to come together here but it's hard to look at this and prefer it to what we ultimately got in the movie.

This is a drastically different - and far more clean cut - version of DJ which arguably changes him in such a way that it's hard to imagine Benicio Del Toro being able to portray him as he did.

This version of Han's death is far closer to what we saw in The Force Awakens as he stares his son down and starts to approach him in the Starkiller Base unaware that he's moments away from dying!

This shot comes from The Last Jedi and shows Kylo Ren in his TIE Fighter blowing up Poe Dameron's X-Wing alongside a number of other Resistance ships to ensure they can't fight back.

DJ and the whole casino planet sequence could be cut and it wouldn't make ANY difference.

"jedi killer" huh? Sounds interesting. I wonder how many people would've cried that he was a darth vader ripoff, when they revealed he had skywalker blood.
