See How 'Jabba The Hutt' Could Have Looked In RETURN OF THE JEDI

See How 'Jabba The Hutt' Could Have Looked In RETURN OF THE JEDI

Before they settled on the slimy space-slug appearance of the villainous gangster from Return Of The Jedi, Jabba went through a few drastically different looks. Check out some unused concept designs and early comic book sketches of the character after the jump.

Some interesting designs for sure, but I think they went with the best one in the end. Jabba is one of the characters that has been rumored to be the focus of a planned Star Wars Episode VII spin-off, although in fairness, who hasn't been at this stage? Do you like that idea..or do you think they should focus on the actual humanoid characters that would be played by an actor?

These designs are new to the site, and no it isn't news..it's what it says it is : "See How 'Jabba The Hutt' Could Have Looked In RETURN OF THE JEDI". If that doesn't sound like something you wanna see, don't click on it.

Imagine how Chewbacca and Jabba would look like if they were made now (yes if done with make-up, not mo-cap). Great.

Answered my own question. My memory served me well. Googled Jabba. When Marvel did it's first adaptation of Star Wars, before it was known as A New Hope, Jabba had not yet been designed by Lucas and company. They made up version three for the comic.
